Macey's Junior Prom
Alex asked her to go with him and two other couples.
The florist put a very strong magnet on the boutonniere so she didn't have to worry about sticking him or having the flower flop over. Pretty ingenious.
Alex was pretty nervous at first...
but he loosened up by the time we took these pictures...
She looked beautiful in her "Cinderella" dress. A teacher of hers saw her walk in and gave her a big hug and said, "Oh Macey! You look beautiful! You look like Cinderella!" Later, when they were leaving, the same teacher pulled Macey aside and said, "I've been trying to figure out what made you so different. Then I realized, you were having such a good time because you have sleeves on your dress!!" Yup. It's easy to have fun when you don't have to worry about falling out of your dress or your dress falling off.
MADALYN TURNED 15!!
Wow. It really does seem to go by in a blink.
She has her permit and is all hyped to get her license...except for that little thing called the Young Womanhood Medallion, which right now is more like the Young Womanhood Millstone.
SPRING BREAK!!
We went to Utah for spring break. I went with the girls to the General Young Women's Broadcast thanks to Debbi and her friend who got us tickets. It was a neat experience to be there in the Conference Center and have the Prophet walk in. Talk about feeling the spirit. Later we drove down and met Martha in St. George.
She showed us around and took us to Zion's Park and we hiked up to the Emerald Pool. It was beautiful and we had great weather. It was nice to be a bit warmer than we were up in Boise. The kids had pizza and watched a movie in the hotel, while Tucker and I went through the St. George Temple. It reminded me a lot of the Logan Temple where we got married.
Of course, a big highlight was swimming in the hotel pool. I should get my kids, who seem to be part fish, a shirt like the one Chris, Janelle and I had while on the swim team. "Instant swimmer. Just add water."
I have more pictures, but unfortunately I have misplaced my camera since we came home. (Or rather some little person misplaced it for me.) Good thing Macey got a camera for Christmas so I can use it!
I will try to post more later. Hopefully, with any luck, it won't be a year later.
Have a good one.
