Leah Turns 4

For Leah's 4th birthday, she knew just what kind of cake she wanted... vanilla with a picture of her and her Daddy! She was so thrilled... only slightly disappointed that the picture was not edible! haha I let her pick out a couple of her presents, but still wrapped them for her actual birthday. Her favourite toy was this Fur-real Parrot which she (and all the other little girls here LOVE). I made the mistake of saying (when I first saw it) that I thought it was ugly. She won't let me forget, and YES I did apologize... it's not nice to call something ugly. Especially when, if you look at it for more than just a glance, it really is quite cute! Sorry Leah!
One of the other things she got was a Tinkerbell Piggy Bank. This expression was for the two loonies that she got with it... just like her Daddy, she LOVES coins. Now she keeps asking if I have any money for her! Nice!
All in all it was a great day. Lots of family called and wished her HAPPY BIRTHDAY and she loved every minute of it. She told EVERYONE she saw today that it was her birthday and was so proud. And for an extra special treat Grammie took her and Jailyn to see Tangled on the weekend and she loved it. She keeps drawing pictures of Rapunzel and her super long hair. So cute!

Whitby Conservation Area

This weekend my sisters and I (and all 5 of our girls) went to a fun Conservation Area around Whitby. There were plenty of chickadees and blue jays to watch and squirrels and chipmunks too. Some of the chickadees would even eat birdseed right out of your hands... if you were quiet and still enough... which the kids weren't. But, we had a great time walking around eating peanuts and watching the birds. I took a couple shots of the girls which I think turned out pretty well.

The girls love being outside exploring nature! We just need to teach them to be a little quieter!

Halloween 2010

Both costumes were created by my Aunt Christine. She did an amazing job!!
Leah was a witch!Lyzie was a strawberry!
Here are Chad & Leah fishing for chocolate at our church Halloween Party.
Even Lynzie was able to participate in the games.
Leah was a little hesitant when it came to bobbing for apples, but now Lynzie. She is a pro!
Me and my girls!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Chad's Visit

Chad came to visit for a week during Halloween. The girls were so excited and couldn't wait to do lots of fun things with their Daddy. We went to the donut store (Tim Horton's... mmmm), Chuck-E-Cheese, library, swimming pool, shopping, and lots of other fun things. Here are a few pictures.

Leah and Chad were having a blast carving their pumpkin.

Even Lynzie got in on the fun.

I loved the sight of this... our Library has little beanbag chairs for the kids to sit and read. It didn't take long for them to snuggle down so their Daddy could start reading. SO CUTE!! I just had to take some pictures!

Crawford Lake

This weekend everyone in the house headed out to Crawford Lake to do some hiking, watch the First Nations Dancers, and enjoy a great day outdoors. I fell in love with all of the scenery (the best views were not documented unfortunately... maybe next time). But here are a few we got to share.

Views from the hiking trail around the lake.

Leah enjoying the First Nations' village.

They had a craft table set up for the kids, but of course they couldn't sit still long enough to finish, so Dawn and I made these adorable little dolls. It actually didn't take very long and as you can see, I was quite proud of myself. haha

Gorgeous View from the Park

While visiting my parents we were able to visit the Pirate Ship park again. This time we took some pictures by the water. This is one side of the park, a beautiful view (in my opinion). Here are some cute pictures of the girls.
