Grandaddy's Garden

Presley went with Nana and Grandaddy to their garden. I'm pretty impressed with all that they grow! This year, Grandaddy planted a special crop of pumpkins and there are several that are getting pretty big!

GO CARDINALS!

Scott had the kids dressed in their Cardinal attire for the game the other night. Someday, I hope they love baseball as much as he does!

He said, She said

Two funny stories... This morning I opened the pantry door and asked Chase if he wanted his usual breakfast bar. He shook his head no several times and started pointing and grunting at the powdered donuts. No wonder he never liked baby food. Let's just don't tell Dr. Rhodes!

Last week, we had a conversation with Presley that started out like time as we were all cuddling on the couch together... S- "Aren't you glad you have a baby brother!" P- "No, I want a sister. We need to take him back to the place where babies come from and change him for a sister." L- "But Presley, you don't get to choose what you get. God just puts a girl or a boy in mommies tummy." P- "We'll, Jesus is ready to take him back." She really does love him!

Happy 9th Anniversary!

On June 24, Scott and I celebrated our 9th anniversary! I can't believe it's been 9 years! He is the best husband to me and greatest dad to our kids! I'm the luckiest girl in the world!

(Presley was the photographer...not a bad job!)

Eight is Enough!

We had a fun playdate today with some good friends. All the kids played so good together! We now each have two kids ranging from 4 weeks to 4 yrs. Two of the moms want more. They must have better sleepers than we do! Here's Sally, Lucy, Paxton, Ella, Sophie, Brooks, Chase, and Presley.

Scrub-A-Dub

Here's a picture of Chase and Brody in the tub. They love the water!

Presley and Ella started dance camp this week. They are learning ballet, tap and tumble. They are doing really well and look so cute out there. Presley loves her shoes and doesn't want to take them off. I suprised her on Monday with a new outfit to wear and she said "Black is ugly! I don't want to wear that." I told her that it's what all the real ballarinas wore and it seemed to work. It has been a long week of getting up and ready early and we still have a week to go. On Wednesday, Presley sat down in the middle of class and said she was ready for a nap. She's done much better thoughout the week and seems pretty excited about what she's learned. I can't wait to see their recital next Friday! It should be very interesting.

Fun in Florida

We spent this past week in Florida with my parents, brother and his girlfriend Jamie. We had such a great time! The kids did really well traveling, they each had a mid-week meltdown, but were fine after that! We couldn't have asked for the week to go any better! Presley loved every minute of every part except when I suprised her with a trip to the gulfarium... you'd have thought I asked her to open her eyes in the salt water (also drama). I just knew she'd love it, but I knew it was time to just give it up when I was screaming "We are going to see the dolphins rather you like it or not!" Pres loved the pool the most and really worked hard on her techniques she learned at swimming lessons. Chase wasn't so thrilled about the waves hitting him, but he loved the sand! He played for hours digging, throwing and filling the buckets!...such a boy! Both of the kids found new foods they liked. Chase (the picky one) now loves bean dip and we thought we tricked Presley in to thinking she was eatting chicken, but she's just too smart and told us "This is not chicken, it's shrimp." and continued to eat it. Anyhow, we had a fabulous trip and can't wait to go next year! Thanks Nana and Grandaddy!
