Halloween at Aunt B and Uncle Mark's
A recent Halloween tradition (is that an oxymoron?) is Halloween with Bethy and Mark. Their neighborhood goes all out each year, and we've had so much fun partying with them! They are definitely the hostesses with the mostest...es!
Carter and Laney love getting to see Charlie and Drew and will now Coleman will have a buddy to trick or treat with this year - Sweet Baby Lane!
Another Fall Festival...
(10/30/2011)
Allison told us about another great festival happening in their neighborhood. Daddy went with us this time :). Didn't dress the kids up in costumes - not ready to deal with all that yet!
Lots of fun games and treats to eat. The kids had a ball. We saw lots of friends there, too. Laney "bobbed" for apples THREE times and ate each apple! That little girl can put away some food. Joel and I laughed about it all night. Whenever she got hungry she would tell us she wanted to go 'catch another apple.' She really didn't stick her face in the water - they were trying to be sanitary. ha! But she did grab them all with her teeth. Carter actually let Laney try all the new things first this time. He eventually did all the games, but not without watching a round or two first. Coleman slept. And ate. And yawned. And slept some more.

My Pitiful Pumpkins...
Why do all of my pictures of the kids in pumpkin patches look so awful? They really ARE having a good time. But if you look at their faces in the pictures, you'd think I had dragged them there kicking and screaming!
My Pumpkins' Pumpkins.... yes, still trying to catch up
First, let me clarify....
1 - Our kids rarely wear clothes. At least not in the house. I've tried. Well, Laney will sometimes do the opposite. Some days she'll go through 5 outfits just to put on something different. But mostly, it's just her undies. Carter... we're lucky if Carter keeps his clothes on until he gets home. I caught him undressing in the playground at Chick-fil-a one day. We have at least gotten to the point that he'll stay dressed unless we're at home or either grandparents' house. It was touch and go there for a while.
2 - Joel does not usually have a goatee. The guys in his office grew them out in honor of a co-worker they lost to cancer. His goatee didn't look too awful, but for some reason he shaved the bottom and left the mustache. THAT was awful.
I digress...
CJH - September
Oh my gosh... he is suuuuuch a sweet baby. WE. LOVE. HIM.
My mom swears she still hasn't heard him cry. He is starting to sleep longer and eat more. I can definitely tell he has grown a lot. He actually gained a pound in one week between 2 and 3 weeks old. He is on Prevacid now - 3 for 3! Coleman loves to sleep in the sunshine. I love to watch him. :)
