This post is kind of a synopsis of our week. On Sunday, Trevor gave a short talk in Primary at church. He did a GREAT job and wrote most of it himself. He was assigned the topic of "strengthening family" and drew this picture of our family. Savannah was very offended that he drew her in pants and
begged him to redraw the picture. He wouldn't, but he did draw her a separate picture of her in a skirt. They make us laugh!
After church on Sunday, we usually play games as a family. This week we decided to pull out a puzzle that my Grandma Trutzel sent us a couple of months ago. (We love puzzles in the Goldy/Trutzel clan). Anyway, it was a lot of fun to work on it together. Trevor was especially excited about it. Thanks Grandma!

I am feeling VERY pregnant lately. But really I feel good, other than allergies which are part of having the beautiful scenery around here. I am learning to manage them. Anyway, my sister Camille keeps asking for proof of my large state, so here you go, I swallow my pride . . . (gulp).

More baseball this week . . . Trev is LOVING it and on the warm days he just wants to be out playing catch:)

Last night, we went to the library for a "Princess Party" story time. (Princes were invited, too:). It was a lot of fun. I love the library and take the kids as often as possible. Ashkii laughs at me because I always say I want to be a librarian when I grow up. I just love the environment of the library and I especially love seeing my kids excited to find books they want to read. Here are a few pics of the festivities. Trev doesn't really have a prince costume, so Savannah said her dad was her prince. She was in heaven.

Making a magic mirror, and Trev in the crown he made.

Savannah and I ran some errands one day this week and this is what she wore - the entire time, even indoors. She is so her dad and doesn't care at all what others think. I really admire that in her, but I have to laugh at all the looks we get!

She spends most of her time dancing (putting on "recitals" for me) or playing with her dolls. Today she set up a "talent show" with the dolls - this was her on drums:

One sunny day she decided to wear last year's swimsuit with her ballet shoes and took her little boom box outside while Trev and I were playing catch. She was rockin' out on the front porch the entire time.

Sometimes her imagination and conversations are exhausting, but mostly I am just grateful that we have a lot of time to spend together. She is such a fun daughter, and it's all worth it, especially when I can catch moments like this:

I am so grateful to be a mom. Rich and I are speaking on Sunday - we were asked to speak on mothers, so I have been reflecting this week. I am so thankful that I am able to stay home with my kids and cherish this precious, fleeting time. Trevor came home today so excited to give me the gift he made at school for me. It was so sweet.
One great thing about blogging is that our grandmas across the country are able to share in our lives. We love you all and are grateful for you and our mothers. I also have so many great friends out there who are great examples to me in many ways - Happy Mothers Day to all of you!!!
