Happy Mardi Gras!

We hope all of our family and friends in New Orleans are enjoying their time off and all the parades. We'll be thinking of you all today! My parents are visiting and came armed with plenty king cakes, beads and goodies for William and his classmates. We visited school for afternoon snack today and gave out beads to all of William's friends.

William was excited to wear his crown to school. When we got in the car he found a racoon mask from a birthday party a few weeks ago. He put the mask on in the car and refused to take it off until it came time to eat the cake.

Thank you Uncle Mike and Aunt Christy for my Mardi Gras shirt!

Happy Mardi Gras everyone!

Monkey Joe's

Meme and Papaw have been in town for their Mardi Gras break. Needless to say William has been in his glory. The weather has been quite chilly so we took William to Monkey Joe's to let loose. Monkey Joe's is a warehouse that is full of inflatables-- slides, space walks, obstacle courses. Adults can go on most of the inflatables with the kids so William wore himself out, Meme out, Papaw out and Daddy out! I took the pictures and hobbled around with my hurt rib(s).

It is was so hard to take a picture because he would slide down so fast! William's hair is just like mine and it would stand up on end with the static from the slide. His face should have been hurting from the permanent grin on his face!

That's Papaw in the background sliding down!

The obstacle course caused everyone to break a sweat!

My Rotten Valentine

I'm not saying he's spoiled or anything.....

Thank you Meme & Papaw

Thanks Nana!

Thank you Pop for my package and thanks Grammy and Poppy for my very special book!

Our annual picture together.

(I gotta take them while I still can.)

Emily's Visit

Mel and Emily came to visit us for a long weekend so Mel could interview for a few jobs in the Atlanta area. I had been working on William for a long time so he was excited for Emily's arrival. He had been hearing so much about Baby Emily that one day when I said something about Baby Jesus he corrected me and said, "No Mommy, you mean Baby Emily." What can you say to that?!
Anyway, William was very excited to see Aunt Mel and Emily. He amazed all of us by how great with the baby. He wanted to kiss her all the time and touch her face real soft. It made me a nervous wreck because he such a rough little boy!
I kept Emily all day by myself while Mel had her interview. I do not miss carrying the big car carrier-- that thing weighs a ton! I didn't know what to do with her all day so I took her to the office. She was a big hit!
We had a great visit! We fit a bit of house hunting in too! I can't wait for the DeFusco's to make their way to Georgia!

Catch Up

It's been quite a while since I've written so here are some photos from January:

William got a stool for Christmas that stays in our downstairs bathroom. He loves that he can wash his own hands. He washes them after everything he does! He is so proud of himself.

We made another trip to Chuck E. Cheese, but this time Chuck E. actually came around to our table. William was thrilled to say the least!

I am posting these pics for my family. They always say that I find a way to get out of helping dry dishes at family dinners. As you can see I'm training my guys well!

William's school celebrated National Pajama Day and he was very excited to wear his Little Einstein jammies!

These are some pics of a Friday night at home. We took out the paints and let William go free! The pics with William and Michael are just too funny-- I was trying to get a good picture of them together and as you can see it took a few tries.

I was trying to get Michael to smile and he wouldn't stop talking. So then I looked at the pic I took and said, "You look retarded."

This Michael's reaction to me calling him a retard. Again, all I'm asking him to do is smile!

Finally, I get Michael to smile! ( My hubby is such a good sport!)

Here's just another weekend of fun. William is loving his play-dough--thanks Mr. Ron & Mrs. Rona!
