Thanksgiving at Primrose

Today was Thanksgiving at Primrose. The parents were invited to have lunch with the kiddos. I had a great time eating with William and his friends. When I picked him up this afternoon he said, "Thanks for inviting me to lunch today Mommy". I tried to explain that he invited me, but he just kept thanking me. Later this afternoon when we were home he came over and hugged me tight and said, "I was so happy that you came to lunch with me today." Melt my heart!

William was glad that I was there but he wasn't too concerned about me leaving. I was still sitting at the table (yes, the kids table) and he got up to go play.

Family Pictures

We took family pictures this weekend. I needed to have Maren's 3month pictures taken, as well as William's 3 year old pictures. I had a friend of mine who is a photographer take our pics and he was a real trooper. We got great shots of Maren alone and William alone, but when it came to getting all 4 of us to cooperate that's a whole different story! Here are 2 of Johnny's favorites (our photographer). He's working on the rest of them. I am so happy with them!

Pretty in Pink

When we found out we were having a girl I thought I was going to get my fill of the color Pink. Well-- not so much! I actually love to put Maren and pink. Here are some pics of her in her pink overalls.

"Books on Tape"

When we went to William's school for orientation earlier this year his teacher told us that the kids love books on tape. They love to hear all of the characters voices and sound effects. When we were in NYC we found "books" on tape at the Disney Store. I say "books" because it's actually "a movie, in a book, on a CD". Anyway, I just gave William one set last week because he was such a big helper. I set it all up and explained how it worked and went to cook dinner. I got a kick out of watching him and seeing how serious he took it. That was the quietest the house has been in a while!

Bouncy Seat

Maren is getting so big. Now she enjoys sitting in her boucy seat and talking to the animals. There is a little monkey and frog that move and she follows them and makes all kinds of baby noises. We love to hear that little voice!

Stadium Cake

Michael's Mom sent this great cake pan to he and William. William loves to help us in the kitchen. Here is how the cake turned out. Of course it is Tiger Stadium. We can't wait to be there on Friday!

Bowling

Last Thursday the Harry Norman Young Realtors Council had a fund raiser for the Make A Wish Foundation. Our office had 2 teams that participated. Michael, William and I bowled on one of the teams. William had such a blast. He was a real trooper since it was a pretty late night and he was well behaved (most of the time).
My sweet angel slept all night!

Visit with Grammy & Poppy

Last week before the girls came to visit and before Halloween the kids and I took a trip to Nashville. My Mom and step dad were there for work and it's only a short drive for us. It was a quick visit, but we had lots of fun. (Mom took all of the pictures so she's not in any of them.)
My sweet girl-- she's starting to smile so much!
Hanging out at the mall-- teaching her early!

William made Maren a Build-a-Bear. Her name is Petunia.

His favorite part was putting the heart in the bear.

We got up VERY early on Wednesday to head back home in time to Trick or Treat.

Baby Girl

Here are some new pictures of Maren and her guys!

The Girls

I had a wonderful weekend with my dear friends Megan and Meredith. We used to work together in New Orleans. Megan is now living in Orlando and Meredith is in Las Vegas so it had been almost a year since we've seen each other. The girls were very excited to meet Maren and William was thrilled to have more visitors! Girls, thanks for making the trip to visit us. We loved having you!

Happy Halloween

We had a great Halloween this year. The weather was beautiful, William was so excited to wear his LSU uniform and Maren was a perfect pumpkin! Michael also carved another pumpkin for William. The Shrek pumpkin came out awesome!

While parents are away...

While Michael and I were out of town my Dad and StepMom came to stay with William and Maren. I know Meme and Papaw had fun, but they looked quite exhausted when they were leaving! We really appreciated the help and the opportunity to take the trip with our friends.

My parents usually take tons of pictures when they come to visit. There weren't quite as many since their hands were full. Here are some of the fun things William and Maren did with Meme and Papaw:

What a good big brother!

Making a house in Papaw's bed!

What a happy girl!

William loves to visit "James".

Emily came over to play with her Mimi.

Clowning around with Meme!

A trip to the pumpkin patch

William was sure to get a pumpkin for all 4 of us.
