A Mommy Weekend!

I know its been a really long time since I've posted! I was running out of space on my hard drive with so many photos that I couldn't upload any new ones. This post is LONG overdue. I snapped all these photos in early March when Michael went out of town. The guys were on a golf trip so Mel and Trina got together with the kiddos. I can't even begin to tell you how much I love having a baby girl!! I am so excited to dress her in all of these dresses!!
Just a moment of love!

CHEESE!

Look how big his feet are getting!

Mason had a blast!

We blew up the jump and that was it!! They wore themselves out!

William was such a good sport being the biggest kid in there. Look at the picture below. He kept letting Mason knock him down. It looks like Mason is just bulldozing him over!

I love this picture!! I wish she was looking at me with those sweet eyes, but she's actually looking at Catrina.
Lord, I love her smile!!

Olypmic diving here we come!

The Madhouse!

Mel and her babies

It looks like a moment of love, but I think she is pulling his hair!

He's probably getting her back!

PJ Day

Last Friday was PJ day at school. Can you tell how excited William was to wear his jammies to school. He wore his favorite Walle jammies. Maren's PJs have monkeys all over them. When she got into her classroom all of the little ones kept walking up to her touching the monkeys on her shirt and making "ooh, ooh" noises. She was a little freaked out at all the touching.

William's First Fieldtrip!

William's class took a fieldtrip to PetCo on February 24th. For two hours they learned about different species and got to see examples and touch a few too! I was so excited to go with him and he was just as thrilled to have me there. ( I know that won't last long!)Will's first bus ride and first fieldtrip!
Welcome to PetCo!

The first animals-- the birds! Those things are freaking expensive!

Ok, this is my favorite picture that I snapped. The little girl's name is Dylan. She is usually talking a million miles a minute. Here is actually quiet, but that's because she can't get any words out with her mouth and noses pressed against the bird cage!

Thanks Mrs. Archer-Johnson!

This guy doesn't stand a chance--stuck in a sea of pre-schoolers!

Ok, while we were waiting for Mr. JC to take an animal out for the kids I was standing next to a display. When I looked down I almost lost it when I saw doggie diapers. Seriously, the logistics necessary to get one of those things on and off makes my head hurt.

Check out the devious look! What are these two planning?

This picture cracks me up! Look at this little guys face!

This is the same kid who wouldn't touch the sting ray at the aquarium, but he was ready to touch the snake! (He'd make the Johnson boys proud!)

Look at their little faces as they listen about snakes!

Look how excited they are to see the mice! Thanks, Ratatouille!

Will trying to see the giant guinnea pig. Thanks Mrs. Thomas!

Getting ready to pet the (stinky) ferret! Did you know those things have stink glands like skunks? They remove them, but why in the world would you want that in your house?

Mrs. Lisa bought their class a fish to put in the school tank

Back to School!

My Continued Attempt to Catch a Moment a Day

Ok, so I didn't so well the last two weeks and I missed quite a few days! Here are the wonderful memories I was able to catch...
02.24.09
William's first bus ride and first fieldtrip. His class went to PetCo where they learned all about different animal species and they got to touch a snake and a ferret!

03.01.09
Seriously, snow in March?

03.05.09
I love baby tootsies!

03.06.09
My little helpers! While Daddy is out of town I get quite a lot of help around the house.

03.07.09
If anyone wonders why daughter is as tough as she is just take notice of her big brother holding her legs and half way on top of her in the space walk. At least she is smiling this time!

The Georgia Aquarium & World of Coke

We finally made it to the World of Coke & the Georgia Aquarium while our visitors were in town. I only snapped one picture at the WOC in the first room. I'll have to get more pictures from Meme. We had a great time at both even though Michael wasn't feeling well.

Maren passed out on the short walk between the WOC and the Aquarium. It was kind of nice because we all got to eat in peace and she got some much needed rest!

The Aquarium was jam packed so it was hard to get up close to a lot of the exhibits. Will got up close to the otter tank and I was able to snap this pic. He thought the otters were so cute! They extremely playful and were tapping on the glass with their toys.

The belugas are so cool!

I tried to take this picture from an angle so you can see how huge the tank really is. The Georgia Aquarium is the largest aquarium there is in terms of tank size.

Will & Meme

I had to hurry up and snap this. Will is completely unaware that my Dad can barely breathe. Gee Dad, I wonder why you're still sick from the visit?

Maren loves fish. Whenever she sees a fish whether it's in a book or in a tank she makes this smacking sound with her lips. She is trying to mimick making a fish face but she can't purse her lips so she just smacks them.

Fishy Face!

Here's Will and Michael at the touch pool. Michael reached in and touched the sting ray and prompted Will to do the same. He would get his hand in the water, but was too afraid to touch the rays. I stepped up to show him how easy it was and I too was a little timid. It took a couple of trys to put my hand deep enough to touch one of them. I can't say I blame William!

I just had to take pictures of this exhibit becuase at first glance I thought it was just absurd. Duh-- who hasn't seen live shrimp? Sometimes I take things from my childhood for granted. When I see these shrimp in the tank I just imagine a fried shrimp po-boy!

Even a nap isn't enough to keep her from melting down due to torment from her brother!

Thanks Meme & Papaw for a great visit!
