Last day of school dinner request was sushi.

From his first day of school (above) in September 2009 and now to his last day of Reception (Kindergarten) July 2010...

He has matured and learnt so much and we're very proud of what he has achieved - which includes keeping his teachers on their toes with some of his questions regarding volcano's, dinosaurs and tornado's! He's also grown into his school blazer and trousers!!

Started out quite nervous about starting school - below, not so much... xx

Nicholas pretending they are in a plane and he's flapping the wings...

Then it turned into a fighter plane which shot out domino's....

Nicholas had his school sports day (like track and field day) and had a great day out. It last all day - and they were kept very busy with lots of fun activities!

Below Nicholas lines up for the javelin throw. What technique! He took his 3 goes very seriously - sadly the wind wasn't helping that day, but he did place 1st which he was excited about!

Ryan thought that they were lots of fun to play with too.

This is the triple jump - it was a hop, skip and a big jump.

Lining up for the sac race - I thought surely he was going to have a huge fall in that big sac that went way over his head--but he placed 2nd in the boys race.

Sorry, hard to see but Nicholas is receiving his school award. Thankfully there was a professional photographer taking photo's as well.

Our village had a fete and the highlight for Nicholas was the rock wall..where he just made the minimum weight.

He also had his face painted - which they always do an amazing job!

Ryan didn't like it very much...

We've had quite the heat-wave for a few weeks running. After soccer one afternoon, Nicholas suggest the golden arches for dinner where the boys cooled off with a cone. I think Ryan enjoyed his!

Thanks for my summer outfit Nana... I look cute!

Sorry about the many messy food posts. Tonight Ryan had baked beans for the first time and I couldn't believe how much he loved them and kept asking for more (maybe it was the way a doctored them up the American way?)

He certainly earned his bath!!

Boys made me these lovely cupcakes for my birthday. Nicholas did a great job singing to me.

After picking out my birthday gift, we had lunch..they were sadly out of highchairs and Mat and I have learnt that next time, we will wait for one as Ryan thought the table was a bridge....

"Look what I did Mom! I painted my face. I found it in the cupboard!"

He said it's supposed to be a scary face and not a smiling one...
