The Play Date Cafe Challenge PDCC105

I love the Play Date Cafe Challenge for this week - colors are warm and inviting. Haven't played along here yet been meaning to for a while so this was fun:

I made two cards because I wanted to use up the scraps from the 6x6 paper pad sheet I had used. Never can have too many thank you cards on hand!

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #26

Its snowing here in NJ...yes, its October! My tree in the backyard is slowing falling branch by branch due to the weight of the heavy show. UGH. As they fall, we have been trying to keep them from downing our phone, power, and cable lines. I am thankful that we have not lost power, unlike so many others in town. To keep my mind off the storm and the potentially dangerous trees that stand nearby, I headed to my craft room with a new movie and lots of challenges & inspiration.

Here is my take on the

Papertrey Ink Oct 2011 Blog Hop

I've been uninspired for a little while now but my creative spark was ignited this past weekend by the True Scrap event hosted by Lain Ehmann and the package of new goodies from Papertrey Ink. So I'm jumping right in with my take for Papertrey Ink's October Blog Hop which started today. My first time joining in so be gentle with me!

So from this challenge photo......

I made this......

I was drawn to the mix of patterns in the pumpkins and the touches of brown and green. I used pop dots under two of the cones for some dimension. Definitely will take the photo much earlier in the day next time so I can take advantage of the natural light. The colors in the card aren't as bright as they really are.

Thanks for checking it out!
