"A portrait of my girls, once a week, every week, in 2014."

These past two weeks:

  • 10 weeks left till the end of this 52 Week Project. That means only one thing - 10 weeks left till the new year. How crazy is that?! And Christmas even sooner than that.
  • I surprised Emma by being a Mystery Reader in her class. I read "The True Story of The Three Little Pigs" and the kids loved it. Most of them were familiar with the book but still enjoyed it. Emma was very surprised to see me because I really don't come ever often to her school and then the rest of the time she looked like she was weirded out by me. I should remember she does not like surprises very much. Though she did say after school that she enjoyed me as a Mystery Reader. Now Alyssa keeps asking me every day to come have lunch with her. To make a clone out of me is my next project in life so I can be in more than one place at the same time.
  • Sonia has been sick for a week or so but now finally feeling better. She got two more teeth and now has a total of 8. Still not sleeping well and wakes up at 5:30am every single morning.
  • today we had a Primary Program at church and it was fabulous. I wish we had Primary Programs every single Sunday.
  • also today Emma asked me to shave her legs. Say WHAA?!! Needless to say I really hope she forgets about this conversation for the next 5 years.
  • Alyssa had two field trips this week and had fun.
  • Matt is done with his second class and now onto his next and final class before we leave.
  • we got our housing assignment in Kazakhstan and it did not make me excited. The apartment looks nice but there's not much storage. And we will have 7000lbs + 900lbs of junk that we'll have to find storage for.
  • that's all I can remember. Other than that there's a lot of running errands, meeting lots of new people, planning our upcoming move, etc. Life is still so very crazy and will be like that until we go to Kazakhstan. And I am sure for six months after that.

Linking up with Jodi.

"A portrait of my girls, once a week, every week, in 2014."

This (last) week:

  • as you probably noticed, I got tired of the "52 project". Or maybe it's because my life is so very hectic these days. Or maybe because older girls are in school full day and then it's run around and make them do homework time and no time for taking pictures. Whatever it is, I am not very good at taking pictures of all the kids these days. Only 12 more weeks left though, so I should keep pushing till the end.
  • crazy stressful weeks again for us.
  • girls are still very happy to go to school. No complaining in the mornings. Phew. The only hard part - homework. Homework is evil.
  • Matt finished his Russian class and moved onto the Public Diplomacy class. From now on his days will be longer, and mine will seem much longer.
  • Sonia is teething. Again. And it means only one thing. No, two things - no sleep at night and lots of fussiness and clinginess during the day.
  • we were invited to a Frozen birthday party by our friends and it was great. The kids loved it and I loved it even more. Catching up with good friends has a wonderful effect on me.
  • I've been making Emma's halloween costume dress and sewing a lot. It's such a luxury these days to just sit by myself and sew.

This (pre-last) week:

  • we went apple picking some time last week.
  • it was one very frustrating and stressful week for us.
  • let's forget and move on.
  • I took pictures of all four girls that week. Yay!
