The Dance Recital

The Big Day

Anna Kate and her friend Ava
The star of the show... in our eyes!
Anna Kate's dance to "I Love You There's
NO Doubt About It"
Anna Kate's ballet dance to "Lullaby" which
they performed with their baby dolls.
It was precious!
Anna Kate and all her little dance friends get ready for
the big show.  They all did so well!  Only the mommies
were nervous, but so proud.  Anna Kate loved her
recital soooo... much.  She keeps asking every morning when
she wakes up do we get to go back to the "stage" today.
I think we may have created us a little dancer.  That's fine by
me.  Thanks Miss Beth for a great first dance experience!

Easter!

"Strawberry Picking"
Anna Kate was very precise about picking
her strawberries.  Don't you see the gloves involved?
Will was very determined to eat all
the strawberries he picked along the way!
Imagine that!
Happy Easter!
This seems to be Will's life these days!
Eating EVERYTHING!  Especially the
things he is not supposed to!  He really
does love eating markers.  I have soooo
many pictures just like this.  Lately it has
been sand from the sandbox, bugs, crayons,
markers, and....a bucket full of rain water
from the past week.  So far we are still
not sick!

Spring Break at Dinosaur World!!!!

Dinosaur World
Somehow I let my friend Heather talk me into this crazy road
trip to Kentucky over spring break with all our kids.  It was fun just
hanging out with our friends, but I don't think we will be going back.
I think it could be referred to as a "tourist trap" for those who are
wondering what it is.  I'd stick with the zoo!

Anna Kate is 4!

Daddy and Anna Kate putting together her present.
Anna Kate got an awesome doll house for her birthday.
She plays with it for hours.  It is so cute and has the
most precious furniture.

Happy Birthday Anna Kate!
She had a purrrrrrrrfect Hello Kitty party
with all her little friends!

Christmas 2008-Santa was so good to us!

Princess Anna Kate in her princess tent!

I like Santa!

Princess Anna Kate with her princess cash register!

Will is tired of Christmas by this point!

We had a wonderful Christmas with Ryan's family and a few days later the kids and I left for South Carolina to spend some time with my family.  Santa was very good to us all!  He brought Anna Kate LOTS of princess stuff with the highlights being a TALKING SLEEPING BEAUTY VANITY!  Will has enjoyed it too!  Will got lots of boy toys!  LOTS of trucks.

There's an Elf..on our shelf!

Anna Kate and Will with our Christmas elf that just
arrived from the North Pole.  They were very careful
not to touch him and "hurt" his Christmas magic!

Where will "Buddy Elf" be next?

So... this is our first year to try having our own elf that reports to the North Pole
each night on all that he sees Anna Kate doing. He doesn't have to worry about
Will. Will's a breeze. I'm pretty sure he is already worn out and he just got started.
We are trying to convince Anna Kate of all this little elf is capable of, but I'm not
so sure she's falling for it. This afternoon she looks at me and says, "Mommy, the
elf is just pretend... you know that."Who's in the know here? Me or my 3 year old!
Anna Kate is worrying me a little bit on the magic of Christmas. She has already
asked me where her "princess table"(AKA Sleeping Beauty talking vanity) is. It's
like she thinks I bought it or something. Also, over Thanksgiving we caught her
looking under a bed at my parent's with a flashlight. When we asked her what
she was doing, she told us she was "peeking for presents." How does a 3 year
old know to peek for presents? I thought my fun with Santa was just getting
started!

Thanksgiving in South Carolina

Will get his first haircut from SuSu!
     He was unsure about it!
Feeding the Giraffe with Aunt Na at SuSu's zoo
Great Mimi with Anna Kate and Will
She enjoyed them so much!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my family.  We missed the other side of the family, but
it was nice being in SC.  They enjoyed the kids so much since we do not get the chance to visit
often enough.  Anna Kate always looks forward to going to the zoo there because it is so awesome!  We are glad to be back home!
