23 months old!

I can't believe Nathan will be 2 next month! Wow! He's getting so big so fast! I still can't upload any pictures, but we should be in our new house in 2 weeks and I will catch up then. For now, here are some things my almost 2 year old can do:

~Knows his letters and cay say 14 of them
~Is starting to learn his numbers (knows 5 and 9)
~Imitates everything
~Both likes and is afraid of the pool
~Can go through the fridge to get what he wants (this is bad when he pulls out the eggs and puts them all over the floor)
~Loves to help mommy clean
~Is learning new words every day

I'm sure there's more, but that's what I can think of for now.

As for family news, we are looking to close on the condo sometime later this week. Once that is taken care of, we can move up the closing date on our new house. At the latest, we will close on the new house next Thursday the 27th. We are very much looking forward to moving out of the apartment and into our new house with the yard - and especially to getting our stuff back! Nathan wants his toys, I want my books, and we all want our cooking stuff! Please continue to keep us in prayer during this transition.

This is what the apartment kitchen looked like when I got up one morning:

And this is what Nathan was doing in the living room: note the pile of laptop keys on the floor...

Moving Day!

This was a really big week for us! Wednesday the packers arrived and packed all our stuff. They were really great, and quick, finishing all of the condo in the morning and working on the POD in the afternoon. Nathan was able to nap in our room :). They also said we did a great job packing our POD, and 90% of our stuff did not need to be repacked. Awesome! Thursday was load the truck day. The movers arrived at 9:30AM and began inventorying and wrapping all the furniture in the condo. By lunchtime the condo was empty and they had moved on to emptying the POD and reloading it into the moving truck. We put Nathan down for a nap in the closet (LOL) while we cleaned and did a little paint retouching. The movers were finished by the time Nathan woke up, and we were able to finish loading the car, head to the realtors, and drop off the keys. We spent the night at a friend's house and left DC Friday morning. The drive to Augusta took us 9 hours and 15 min including stops. Kitty was very unhappy, and Nathan did not like being "stuck" in his car seat, but we made it, all in one piece. We are currently settling in to our temporary apartment and anticipating the hottest weekend of the year.

Our internet connection here is s...l....o....w.....so I am unable to upload pictures. Sorry :(

Updated with pictures from move day!
