It hasn't snowed here since David was a baby (2011), so we were pretty excited to get some snow overnight! We only got a couple of inches, but it was enough for the kids to make snowballs and snow angels. We did attempt a snowman but David decided to kick it over while we were building it, so no photos of that. The kids had a great time playing with the neighbor kids, throwing snowballs, tasting the snow, and making snow tracks and angels. Hooray for a snow day! (Also, you might notice that the kids' snowpants are a bit short....it hasn't snowed in so long that all we had were sizes 18 months and 3T. The 3T would fit David, but Nathan really wanted snowpants too, so we squeezed them into the too-small snowsuits. Thankfully those things tend to run big!)

Basketball for David
David has finally started his first basketball season, after delays relating to the Y renovating their courts. (In fact, we are not on the renovated courts, we are in the kids gym and the older kids are on the nice courts). Anyway, David is having a blast. The 3-4 year old basketball school, aka Itty Bitty Basketball, does not play games - they just learn the beginning basketball skills of dribbling, passing, and shooting, plus they run some races in between each drill. David says he likes the running and the shooting also, although not one of the kids in his class can actually manage to get the ball into the hoop (they are so cute and funny to watch!) My pictures aren't that great, but you can at least see that David is having a great time :)

Art museum x2
This month we went to the art museum twice! Thursday we attended the regular Mommy & Me program where we saw pictures of butterflies and birds by Hunt Slonem. The kids did watercolor paintings of butterflies. David said that his was so beautiful that he wanted it taped to his door. Nathan does not like his for reasons that he will not divulge (most likely because I would not draw the outlines of the butterflies for him and he wanted them to be perfect). Then on Sunday we went to the Artrageous Family Sunday. This is the first time we've attended the Sunday program (also once a month) because before, David was napping. It felt rather weird to be going somewhere at 2pm! Anyway, this month was the fifth annual reading spectacular, so the kids were treated to four books read aloud, with the pictures put up on a projector. David was rather wiggly but the readers did a great job having the kids make animal noises and other things to go along with the books. After the books the kids got to make a book of their own. Nathan designed a book all about Mr. Boing-Boing, and David decided his was about Mr. Ticket Boing-Boing. Both had a blast and are looking forward to going again (especially since next month they get to play on drums!)
