The Little Nemeceks

Ice Storm! As most of you know, we got hit pretty bad with an ice storm on Wednesday and were without power for nearly a full day (Becky and Greg were without power for an additional 17 hours).  The storm brought down a lot of trees and limbs, and there are still a few places that don't have power yet.  Even being deadly, the ice was beautiful, and I took a few pictures of our ice coated trees and plants on Thursday morning.  We are thankful to be safe and warm with the power back on (and Josh back home!).

The family Sunday at the art museum this month featured a drum circle!  The drums were provided by We Drum 2 U, and we were led in some rhythms and call and response patterns by their leader.  Both kids had a blast; David was dancing in the middle for a good portion of it.  Nathan was rather shy at the beginning due to all the loud noises, but I insisted that he participate.  He ended up having a good time in spite of himself! Afterward the kids did prints of drums and a drawing of the drum circle.  There will not be pictures of our normal Thursday program this month because it was cancelled due to the ice storm.
