Finally, My Answers!

How long have you been together? Almost 5 years!
How long did you date? about 6 1/2 months, and engaged for 4 weeks!!!
Who eats more? Depends on what we're eating. If it's breakfast or desert then I totally win, other than that, I think Lane does.
Who said I love you first? I had to ask Lane, he said I did
Who is taller?Lane
Who is smarter? We're both smarter. I'm book smart. He is mechanical and understands things that I question (like the compression of air-long story). I usually keep asking how and why.
Who does the laundry? who do you think?
Who does the dishes? again, but every ONCE in a while, Lane will put his dish in the dishwasher, and a little more often in the sink.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Lane, somehow I always am closer to the door
Who pays the bills? me
Who mows the lawn? when we lived in a house, Lane did.
Who cooks dinner? me again, unless I tell Lane I'm not going to and that he can't fix cheese and tortillas (honestly, how many of those do you have to eat before you get sick of them-Lane is still going, been making them since before I met him). I wish he'd cook more often because when he does he makes some very yummy food!
Who drives when you are together? Aige, JK. We both do, it depends also on where we are going. I know the area better so thats when I drive.
Who is more stubborn? I first thought that I am. But Lane can be just as stubborn
Who kissed who first? I remember trying to not kiss him (I was trying to not be too easy), but when it did happen, it just did, so I guess it was a mutual thing.
Who proposed? Lane, it was very sweet, we were at Beaver Dick Park (west of Rexburg), snowing lightly and he did get down on his knee.
Who is more sensitive? I could cry at a commercial.
Who has more friends? Lane has stayed in touch with more friends from home than me, but I think I have more friends here (that I actually do stuff with)
Who has more siblings? me, 6, Lane 4
Who wears the pants in the family? I only where a skirt on Sundays

Happy Birthday, Aige!

Aige turned 3 today!!! Time sure does go by fast. I hope he had lots of fun today. We had a party for him with a few friends this morning. He ate blue tractor cake with dirt and worms, then spent the afternoon as a train conductor/engineer (we gave him a GeoTrax train), then we went swimming with more friends tonight.
Aige is such a sweet little boy with such a good sense of humor. He says the funniest things and is sooooo full of energy. Best of all, he still likes for me to come sit by him on the couch and just cuddle...don't grow up too fast, Buddos. Happy Birthday, Aige!
We love you!

This was a fun day! Aige and I cut out gingerbread boys, stars, and a house. He seems to have lots of fun rolling and cutting out the shapes, and mostly just playing in the flour. Evelyn loves to play with Aige, and she is such a tease! (which, btw, tooth #2 came in less than a week after the first!) That night, we painted some ceramic gingerbread men with Lane. Aige pretty much just mixed all of the colors together, making the cutest gingerbread boy ever!

Prayers for My Friend

Ok, so I've been putting off posting, well, more like I've been doing too many things to blog. But, this one can't wait. I'm putting a prayer request out there to all of you who pray. One of the ladies that I visit teach has been in remission and found out today that she has a couple of tumors in her brain. She'll be doing a combination of radiation and chemo for the next couple weeks. She has one daughter, Macy, who is two and a half. So, if you all could, please pray that she and her family can have good news for Christmas. Thanks everyone!

Evelyn's First Tooth!

It's her bottom right front tooth! Which was a surprise because the left one is really swollen. Actually, quite a few are swollen. So congrats to Miss Faye, now if she'll just get back to sleeping all night!

So we went to Rexburg early Thursday morning. Aige was sooo excited to play with Grandpa Sanders. They built a few forts and towers with the Lincoln Logs. Then, Friday morning there was still some snow on the deck in the backyard and Aige really wanted to go "play in the snow". I'd forgotten to take some gloves and a hat for him (at least I thought of a coat!), so we put one of Grandpa's bright colored hats on him. Aige only lasted a few minutes before one of the gloves c

ame off and he was too cold. On Thanksgiving day Evelyn decided she could clap and shake her head back and forth! I was pretty excited for her! What a fun weekend, we also went to Utah on Saturday for a family christmas party and were able
to go and visit Josh and Renae and the kids on Sunday before we came home! And just to clear things up, I need to apologize to Aige for blaming the missing camera on him. When I found it (like an hour before we were trying to leave on Wednesday) I remembered myself putting it where it was to "keep it safe". Maybe a little too safe?! Sorry Buddos!

AH!

So....I need a group prayer that I might find my camera!! I think Aige has hidden it from me. (Anyone elses kids play this fun game?) At least, that is the only explanation that I can come up with. I have the case, the manual, plus extra batteries, but no camera. I'm starting to really freak out since we are leaving tomorrow to go to Rexburg. And, I am trying not to picture what he has done to it, like trying to open the lens. (sigh)

Happy Birthday, Lane!

Yes, Yes, it is Lane's birthday today. Shhh, he is 28 (sorry Renae :) ). Of course, WE LOVE LANE! Honestly, who doesn't? But, being his wife I love him more....and more and more each day. Lane is such a wonderful husband and father. He is so good at taking Aige out for just Daddy and Aige time. It's obvious who Aige's hero is. He looks up to him, and adores him. Evelyn's face lights up when he gets home from work, she is so cute when Lane is in the room. And where would I be without Lane. He makes me laugh, and smile, and inspires me to do better. I am so blessed to have Lane as my husband. With him I am safe, I am happy, and I can have eternal joy. I love you, Lane! Happy Birthday! Oh, and Happy Birthday to Renae! We love you, too! And, the picture of Lane is with the model boat that he is building.

STRIKE! ... almost

Our playgroup went bowling this morning. Aige had it all figured out pretty fast. He didn't even want to use the ramp (which made for a very slooowww moving ball). But he did good and had fun, too!

Curious George Meet Buzz Lightyear

So we went trick-or-treating with McKay, Katie, Payton, and McKenzie. The boys were pretty excited and got a good amount of candy. Of course, Lane was The Man in the Yellow Hat, and McKay was Woody. We lucked out and had really nice weather, it was actually quite warm (especially since I'm used to snow on Halloween). Who can beat free candy! Happy Halloween!

Our Weekend of FUN!

Sweet Evelyn

Grandma Sanders and Aunt Debi were a little camera happy this weekend and Evelyn finally opened up and showed them how cute her smile is. Evelyn had her 6 month well baby check today. (Yes, she is almost 7 months old!). She is a healthy 19 pounds and 3 ounces and 27 inches long. Wow has she grown! Isn't she just adorable?

Curious George and The Man in the Yellow Hat

aka, Lane and Aige

Saturday was our ward's trunk-or-treat. Thankfully, Mom, Dad, and Debra decided to come for a visit for the weekend and Mom was able to take over the yellow hat project for me. (I wouldn't have been able to get it to look as good). Oh, and for Lane's sake, he figured out how to make the top-rounded part of the hat and cut it out. Yeah for Mom and Lane! However, I can take full responsibility for the cutest little monkey ever, and his costume. I had to call every Old Navy in Idaho and one in Utah before I finally found it in Bozeman. In fact, it had disappeared from the Old Navy website, too. I also checked out e-bay and they had a few listings with at least 10 bidders each. I was almost crying when I thought I'd missed out on getting Aige the bestest and cutestest Monkey costume. Notice- it is complete with a banana in pocket!

US

What some of you may not know (only because you live so gosh darn far away) is that Lane and I have the two cutest kids ever! (No need to argue for your own kids. You will not change my mind...like you've ever been able to)(sidenote-ya'll have cute kids too) But really, each day Aige cracks us up with some 3 year old insight (ya- 3 years old! almost). And Evelyn is just beautiful. 6 1/2 months old and she is usually smiling and jabbering, unless she doesn't know you, then she's a little shy. Lane is our #1. Of course, Aige adores him, and they are best friends. As soon as he hears the door unlocking he's telling me, "Daddy's home, Mom! Daddy's home!" and then they are connected at the hip until bedtime, and sometimes after. Whenever he (either of them) is in the room, Evelyn has to be watching what is going on. And you know she's is anxiously waiting to join in on the fun. She loves watching Aige run around, and he gets a kick out of making her laugh. With Lane being gone as much as he has, it has made me realize just how much I do need him. Too often I take him for granted. I'm blessed to married to a man that is willing to work, to play, to help out, and to pray, and to lead our little family down that straight and narrow pathway.

All right, all right! I finally jumped on the bandwagon and created ourselves a blog. (Well, really it wasn't that hard.) Now, the rest of you Sanders, Christensens, or whoever you are should do this, too.
