I've got two makes to share with you today.

My first is created with the adorable Little Fairy.
I used an Acetate base and combined her with Rainbow Meadow from Make it Crafty as I thought the images worked perfectly together.

Here's a close up of Rainbow Meadow from Make it Crafty.
I coloured the scene with my Copics
R21, R22, R24, R27, R29
YR20, Y38, YR04, YR07
Y11, Y15, Y17, Y38
G00, G02, G05. G28
B21. B24. B26, B29
BV01. BV13, BV09
V01, V17, V09
I tried to add some cast shadows for the hills, trees and flowers.

Here's our Gorgeous Little Fairy. She's just so cute - I love her to bits!
I coloured her with my Copics
Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 with R20 Cheeks
Hair - Y11, Y15, Y17, YR24, E35
Dress & Flowers - R24, R27, R29, R59
Wings - R00, R20, R21

A fairy wouldn't be a fairy without sparkle eh? I've added a hint of Stardust Stickles to her wings & dress & a a touch of Wink Of Stella to her cheeks.
She's got a few sprinkles of Stardust Stickles in her hair too.

My second creation also has wings - she's the Angel that's going to be released on Friday.
In a total contrast to the Little Fairy I used a precoloured digital backing paper from the Twilight Forest Digi Kit from Daisy Trail. I added a scattering of stars from the same Digi Kit
Here's the beautiful Angel. I've coloured her with my Copics:
Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 with R20 Cheeks
Hair - E51, E53, E55, E57, E59
Dress - R81, R83, R85, R89
Wings - V91, V93, V95, V99

I added Sakura Stardust Glitter pen to streaks on her hair, her halo & her wings - it's a nightmare to capture on camera. I've added Wink of Stella to the stars & her wings.
The verse is a Nursery Rhyme that popped into my head when I saw this lovely Angel.
I typed it in Craft Artist & added a drop shadow. Once printed I added a touch of Sakura Stardust to the top edges of each letter to give them a hint of shimmer, but not too overpowering.

I really hope you like her & enjoy the Hop.
Your Next stop is with the lovely Lou
Don't forget to leave some love for everyone as you hop to be in with a chance to win the amazing prize xxx

1960's Fashion with Saturated Canary

Time for my next creation in the Fashion Decades series from Saturated Canary.
I'm having such fun with these gorgeous images. I'm keeping the design similar in each of the decades designs so they work as series.

Here's my 1960's creation.
I thought the Purple & Orange colour scheme worked nicely for the 60's.
I liked the quote  - it's so very true!
Here's a close up of my 1960's girl
I coloured her with my Copics & Promarkers

A Geeky Love Wedding Card

I love Geeky Love from Make it Crafty! There's a whole series of them - following them from when they meet and fall in love as kids, get married & have a little baby geek.

Make it Crafty runs two challenges a month

I decided to combine the two and made this wedding card with Geeky Love Kiss.
This card is clean and simple, but I built it up with several layers.
The red card mat gave it a hint of colour. I built the shaker element by cutting a heart shape out of the base card, the red card & the top layer. I used fun foam with the heart cut out as the spacer as it gave more stability than foam tape. Acetate forms both sides of the shaker.

Here it is standing up so you can see through the shaker. I used beads, sequins and gems to give a wedding theme.
Here's a close up of the shaker. You can all so see the shimmer on her Veil - I got a little carried away with the Wink Of Stella. I also added a little to the highlights of her dress.
Here's close up of those geeky love birds.

I coloured them with my Copics
Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 with R20 Cheeks
Her Hair - E23, E25, E27, E29, E49
His Hair - E53, E55, E57, E59
Dress - E50, E51, Wink of Stella
Flowers - R24, R27, R59, G17
Suit - T5, T7, T9, 100
Tie - R24, R27, R29, R59
Floor - E53
Cast Shadows - W3, W5

I really hope you like my card.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Celebrate the 1980's with Saturated Canary

I've still not got over my excitement about being picked to be in the Saturated Canary Guest DT for the summer! It's really such a pleasure colouring these beautiful digis. This is the second of the decades I've shared & it was such fun! Even more exciting is that it's featured on the Saturated Canary Blog today :D

Here's Miss 1980's!

I went for plain & simple as I'm creating a complete series of these Decade fashion girls & I want the basic style to co-ordinate.
I coloured her with my Copics and some highlighter pens - well it was the 80's and Neon was in wasn't it!

Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 with R20 Cheeks
Hair - E23, E25, E27, E29, E49.
Top - T5, T7, T9, 100
Leggings - Sharpie Pink Highlighter, RV04, RV09, RV69
Shade - W3, W5

Here's a close up of her hair.
I added a neon stripe with the Sharpie Highlighter & Copics RV04, RV09, RV69
I typed the sentiment in Craft Artist 2 and added a few layers of Sakura Glaze pen to make it pop.

The Green mat is coloured with green Sharpie Highlighter.

I really hope you like her. I'll be back with some more Decade Fashions from Saturated Canary soon

A Sewing Themed Card

It's time for a new challenge at That Craft Place Challenge and the the theme this time is Words.

I used the Woman and Sewing Machine Digi Stamp from JellyPark as it worked perfectly with the Dress it Up a Stitch at a Time Embellishment pack & the Papermania Sew Lovely 6x6 paper pack that I got from That Craft Place. I inked around the edges of the papers with my Copics to add definition.

These are the embellishments from the Dress it Up a Stitch at a Time Embellishment pack. I added some 'Cut Here' Ribbon and some twine around the cotton reel button before sticking it down with glue dots.

More embellishments from the Dress it Up a Stitch at a Time Embellishment pack

I added a sheet of the Do Crafts Sew Lovely paper on the inside of the card ready for a sentiment.

I coloured her with my Copics:
Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 - with R20 Cheeks
Hair - E23, E25, E27, E29, E49
Y11, Y15, Y17

B95, B97, B99
YR16, YR18, E09

The sentiment comes from the Silhouette Store.

I really hope you like her & hope you come over and join us at  That Craft Place Challenge.

A Christmas Surprise with KennyK

Yes I know it's the middle of summer, but over at KennyK's Krafty Krew it's Christmas in July!

It was a bit strange doing a Christmas themed card in July, so I decided to have some fun.

I used one of the presents from the Xmas Accessories set on the front

I coloured the present with my Copics and added Wink Of Stella to the box
I coloured the bow with Pilot Super Gel Gold pen, added some shading with Copics, then added a layer of Glossy Accents

I typed the sentiment in Craft Artist 2 and added Sakura Glaze pen to make the letters stand out.

When you open the card you get a rather nice surprise!

Oooo It was such a hardship colouring him!
It's a hard job but someone's got to do it :P
Hopefully he will make someone smile when they receive the card.

The Copics I used were:
E000, E00, E11, E21, E04 with R20
Hair - E35, E27, E29, E49
Parcel & Belt - R24, R27, R29, R59, W7
Cuffs & Bow Tie - G17, G29, W7
Trousers - T3, T5, T7, T9, 100
Sakura Glaze
Glossy Accents
Pilot Super Gel Gold Pen
Wink of Stella

I really hope he's bought a smile to your face.

Colouring Contest at Saturated Canary

The lovely Krista of Saturated Canary has released a series of 6 digis featuring the fashion of different decades. She's featured the 40's, 50's 60's, 70's, 80's & 90's and is running an amazing competition with them. Check it out HERE. At the moment you get two images in a set for the price of one so grab them quickly.

I chose to use the 1950's digi first. I adore the 1950's styles.
The dresses are feminine and beautiful and suit my hip heavy figure perfectly.
Here's what I created.

I coloured my 1950's lady in a clean and simple style (when do I ever do anything else?!) using my Copics.
Skin - E000, E00, E11, E21, E04 with R20 Cheeks
Hair - Y11, Y15, Y17, YR24, E35
Dress - B63, B66, B69, B79, B99
Stockings - E31, E33, E35 (plus a touch of T3 & T5 underneath from before I realised I'd coloured them the wrong colour for the era - whoops!)

I added a touch of Wink of Stella to the highlights of her dress and hat and shoes and some Sakura Stardust to her hat decoration & belt (always difficult to capture on camera).

I coloured the backing mat with B69 & Wink of Stella so it all co-ordinated.

The quote is one I found that is attributed to Marilyn Monroe. I thought it was fitting for such a beautiful image & of the right time.

I really hope you like my creation & hope you come and join in the fun of the Colouring Contest at Saturated Canary.

A Pair of Awesome-sauce Notebooks

Super exciting news! I've been picked to be in the Summer Guest Design Team for Saturated Canary! To say I'm over the moon and more than a bit in shock is an understatement! I've loved Krista's images for ages now so to be picked to be part of the team for 3 months is amazing. Especially considering the other amazing people who entered the DT call.
I'm totally honoured.

I've not got any DT work to show yet, but I thought I'd share something I made this week (actually before I knew I'd been picked!).

I came across two of these notebooks reduced in Asda & couldn't resist them.

I knew immediately which image I wanted to use in them - with that moustache embossed at the base it was just perfect for Ellie Awesome Sauce from Saturated Canary! Made for each other or what!

I made two of these for two of my closest crafty friends (and HUGE Saturated Canary fans)

Here are some close ups of the one I made for Erin
(who's daughter is was the inspiration for the digi!).

I coloured her with my Copics

Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 with R20 Cheeks
Hair - E21, E23, E25, E27, E29, E49
Dress - RV52, RV55, RV19, RV69
Cardi - Promarkers Orchid, Purple, Aubergine

I added Sakura Glaze Pen to the moustache & glasses to give them a shine
I added Sakura Stardust pen to the writing & used a Sakura Tiara pen to colour the 'ribbon'
and a hint of Wink Of Stella to the highlights on her dress and hair.
It's difficult to capture on camera, but hopefully you can see some of it.

Here's the other one I made for Laura.

I love the teal/ blue combination.

I again used my Copics

Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 with R20 Cheeks
Hair - E21, E23, E25, E27, E29, E49
Dress - BG45, BG49, B99
Cardi - B18, B29, B99

I used the Sakura & Wink of Stella pens to add sparkle - cos everyone needs sparkle in their life eh!

I really hope you like them. I think Erin & Laura enjoyed the unexpected 'Happy Post'.

A 50th Birthday Graduation Card from Saturated Canary

I've been lucky enough to meet an amazing lady at the local adult education college this year.
She decided to retrain after a very hard year with health issues
and to say she's excelled is an understatement.
She's one of the most inspirational people I know & has shown so much determination
to finish her course when most people would have given up.

She's a lovely lady who is exceptionally talented in her new chosen field of Massage Therapist
and I consider myself lucky to have met her.

I wanted to make her a really special card to celebrate her graduation and her 50th birthday (a big milestone for her as she was determined to be qualified by then).
What better image to use than Grad Girl 2015 from Saturated Canary!
I chose a purple colour theme as that was the colour of her therapy uniform.

I made the sentiments in Craft Artist 2 and added a touch of Sakura Stardust Gel Pen to add some shimmer

I made the Rosette using the free cut file from Bird Cards and I added the 'ribbon' tails. I added a touch of Wink Of Stella to the Rosette.

Here's a close up of  Grad Girl 2015
I coloured her using my Copics & Promarkers
Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 with R20 Cheeks
Hair - E51, E53, E55, E57, E59
Clothes - Promarker Orchid, Purple, Aubergine, Black
Scroll - E81

I really hope you like her. I know she loved it.
