Vintage Red Blue Gray
I started with the color idea from the PlayDateCafeChallenge-barn red, slate blue, and gray. Unfortunately the collection was closed this morning. I really need to pay closer attention to those deadlines, shesh. Their idea of slate was darker than mine. Then I went with Carly's sketch from SketchesByCarly. She is quite an artist, check out her site to see what you get, just for playing! Many of you already know her talented mom Kris Breach at Ink Something. So then I had to find a picture and luckily I had gone through some pictures in the morning. My darling brother must be about 4 in this photo, it's a school photo, badly faded. The shirt is red with white polka dots and the vest, (with matching pants I remember), is a light denim.
Used: All Stampin' Up except the blue sunflower which is a digi by Priscillastyles that I colored with Sharpie markers. Check out the Crafter's Digital Art Center to see more fantastic uses of Digital Images.

MMSC scrapbook sketch
This isn't my favorite photo, but it was taken at the same time as one from the 'Cutie' layout. It's another cute 'pose', looks like my girl is holding the umbrella. This is actually on the other side of the 'Cutie' page. I followed the sketch from the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge 110. I was actually done with it last night; I know Tuesday, right? Heehe I only get challenges done that fast in the summer. Thanks for the visit!

Cutie
My latest scrap book page is my dd, (who else?). Can you believe that first picture? She is 3.5 months old, the photographer just happened to catch the little 'diva' at the right instant! She is very photogenic, as you can see below, with her big 'brother', (BFF's brother by blood). The products are a hodge podge of brands, mostly Stampin' Up. No challenges.

Tommy
My 3rd scrapbook page following the Our Daily Bread Designs Let Your Light Shine Scrapbook Challenge week 3. This is my dear daddy as a little boy, and this picture shows a look that I've seen on my brother's face and my nephew's face a few times. I've used 'Grow In Grace', by ODBD. I stamped the flower image in caramel and stamped the scripture over it in black ink.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!!!

Mom & Dad
Hi all, it's been rainy the last 2 days, so I've been migraine-y, (I know it's not a word, but it should be 'cause I use it all the time). This picture and supplies have been on my desk so I finally put it together. I didn't do it for a challenge and didn't look for one to enter. Anyway.....This is a sweet picture of my parents, dressed for Halloween. I'm not sure when it was, but I'm guessing she was 16 and he was 19 and it was around 1960/61. They were married in 1963 and I was born in 1966, (she was 21). It works. OK so, I used Stampin' Up Simply Scrapin' Kit, (retired years ago). The kit worked for the feeling I wanted....young love and fun.
Thanks for visiting!

Grandma & Grandpa
My second entry into the Our Daily Bread Designs Let Your Light Shine challenge, week 2. I went with the same vintage look as last week. This is a great challenge for me, I'm getting so many photos scraped. This is a pic of my grandparents at Christmas time. No date on it though. I used ODBD 'Ornaments' stamp set with Spellbinders dies. I purchased them as a bundle last year, (love the ODBD bundles). I used 3 die sizes but only one stamp image, all are on dimensionals I'll be making more tags and decorations with this gorgeous set again this year.
I used lace, which is hard to see under my watermark, and several strips of border punched pieces so that I could add this to the Hotspot challenge. This also goes helps it to go with last weeks page. The beautiful lace is from McMahon Five Designs, (also used on my first entry page HERE).
See the doodling around the journal ornament? That qualifies for the Stampin' Sisters In Christ challenge.
I really hit the jackpot of challenges with this page didn't I? Now I just need to find a challenge looking for 'distressed' (I sponged with brown ink), or 'vintage', heehee.
On a personal note....
My dear daughter just called to tell me she was at the ocean, and I could hear the waves. She and her bestie had to buy matching sweatshirts, hers is red and Jacq's is white. Silly girls. If you don't know already, my 16 y/o went to CA with her best friend and their grandmother. They are staying with family for 3 weeks. We miss her around here, but she calls & texts often enough.
Have a great week everyone!!!

A New Challenge for Me
I have never played the Stamping In Time Challenge at the Our Daily Bread Designs blog, but wanted to, so I did this week. It's a fun challenge check it out:
"Use ODBD images to create your own background papers. ODBD background stamps are okay! Just make sure you have at least one panel that was totally stamped with ODBD images to create the paper"
I used, what else, my favorite 'Grow in Grace' set! I only have 4 sets from ODBD, so I hope I win one of these contests!
I also am entering the monthly Hotspot Challenge, Laser Cut Details. I used a Martha Stewart boarder punch, (can't remember the name right now), for my laser cut look.
The colors are inspired by The Play Date Cafe. I have always loved the combo, but the combo of the orange on the turquoise is really hard on the eyes in this card. This is the least 'wonky eyed' photo I could get today.
Thanks for stopping!

Here's Little Frieda Again!
I made my 'Little Frieda's Daisy image into a panel. Not needing to make more cards, I thought I would make card fronts to possibly use in scrapbooks. I can always make them into cards if need be. We'll see how it goes, but you may see her yet again on a scrapbook page in the future!
Check out the Little Frieda and Friends line from The Craft's Meow.
You haven't seen a Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge from me in quite some time, but this is the current one, (you have until Monday to enter). I just haven't been doing many challenges, it felt to forced the last couple of months.
Thanks for visiting, please let me know what you think!
