I think about the blog often, but never feel that I have material to write about. My days are busy, really busy, but consist of a lot of routine. (Cooking, cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, playing with my kids) We had some snow this week- CRAZY! We were surprised to wake up to a white courtyard. It melted fast, but the weather can't seem to make up its mind. It's been a week of play-dates, including having our little cousin Ruby over for the day on Tuesday. This weekend we are heading down to Moab to camp, explore and visit Arches. We will be camping without water or toilets, (funny huh?) but feel pretty prepared to tackle the challenge and excited to venture out. We even purchased a stand-up shower tent to accompany our 2 gallon solar shower. What's life without a little adventure???
Just wanted to pass along the link to the photos we took when the Aldamas/Nutes came to visit. Once again, Brittany delivered beautiful pictures. I know that it was a sacrifice for her to slip away from her family- thank you!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNTIE CALLIE!
Happy 24th Birthday to my baby sister! If someone had told me growing up that we would go our separate ways in adulthood, I wouldn't have believed it. I look back now at the times that we even saw each other every day at work. It is so sad to me that we live miles away, with babies just weeks apart in age, without the chance to raise them and share this time in our lives. We love you Callie and are so proud of the wife, mother and woman you have become. You are an inspiration and example to me of Christ-like love, creativity and ambition. Everything I only think of accomplishing in my dreams, I watch you and Brian set out to do and achieve! Thank you for always being there for me to lend an ear and offer advice. I feel so blessed to have a sister like you. Have a wonderful Birthday! 24 is a great year!

Noelle Sings
Tra-la-la-la-la-la-la "All you single ladies, all you single ladies." Now don't most 2 year and 4 year olds sing nursery songs?
A Week Away...
Just a fifteen minute drive up the canyon, but a world away! Dan's parents rented a condo up in Park City at the base of the Canyons Ski Resort for the week. It was a BLAST! We had GREAT company, ate out, played board games, played card games, swam in the warm pool, ate junk food (did I say we ate?), enjoyed nature, had Brittany take family photos, drove and hiked and went to see Robin Hood in the theater. We were glad to be out of school and relaxing as a family and were surprised/thrilled to have Uncle Josh come with Aunt Gina. (He thought he was going to have to work) An A plus vacation! I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. From Thursday on, we took 411 pictures! I did not get any pictures before then! Thanks to all who took part in this fun get away and thanks to Deb and Richard. It was a wonderful week!

A mom taking a moment to capture the cuteness of her baby! I'm blocking the light with my shadow- this was taken up at the Homestead in Midway.

My kids love dogs, especially Corom. He wanted to stop to pet each dog who crossed our path. You can see the love of animals in his eyes. (Someday little man-)

We took a gorgeous drive through Midway and to Provo Canyon. Our final destination was Bridal Veil Falls, where we went on a walk and ate lunch. The views up there are breathtaking!

Noelle brought her dress ups!

A good one of Corom- he was pretty sick this week with a cold. This is one of the only ones we got of him without puffy eyes!

Ahhh, warm pool water combined with crisp air.

The boys on top of the Homestead Crater!

She looks so grown up!

The girls plus Corom on the Crater

Check out the rainbow we passed coming into Park City!

Elijah with his Nana!

This is where Corom spent most of the week- on top of Uncle Josh's shoulders. Such a great bonding time for the kids

Come see photos of my baby!
Our neighbor Brittany (the same one who did Dan's cake) has been in the photography business for 6 years and recently closed up shop to focus on raising a 2 year old and 2 babies. Yes, 3 babies 2 and under. She is truly an inspiration to me. She offered to photograph Elijah for us in her apartment using a bed sheet and a shower curtain as backdrops. The result is amazing!
(click here)brittanythephotographer.blogspot.com. THANK YOU Brittany!!!! And to top it off, as the trade went, we did it in exchange for a babysitting night and a Sunday dinner. We love you Lisonbees! I know that time and energy are limited these days. Can't wait to fulfill our end of the trade!

Noelle's quote of the day....
I was in the shower when I heard commotion coming from my 2 oldest children... screaming. "What is going on?" I yelled over the water and Noelle came in to report. Here is her side of the story:
"Mom! Corom had the nail clippers and was going to cut of his fingers ON PURPOSE! He was going to die and be with us no longer." She had struggled to claim the clippers and save Corom's life. Corom was screaming and fighting to hold on to what he felt was rightfully his and harmless.
She loves to take matters into her own hands, especially matters pertaining to her brother! That's my girl!

Dan Turned the BIG 30!
Corom celebrates daddy's birthday at our WAFFLE PARTY!

Happy Birthday to Dan

On Friday Dan turned 30 and in true Dan style- he requested that I not make a big deal about it. The kids were thrilled to giggles about dad having a birthday and had been counting down for weeks. I feel that 30 is a huge milestone in one's life. Needless to say, we were going to celebrate! We set the table in the morning for a waffle party in our pajamas, spent the day together as a family and then went to Red Robin with friends. We did a pinata (kids and adults) and had cake and ice cream. The kids had a blast! Our neighbor Brittany is taking a cake class and made us the most awesome bike cake- looked just like his road bike- she's amazing. The only thing that this daddy asked for for his birthday was diapers (which his parents did send)! Remember we are college students after all! A big thank you to all who sent birthday cards and gifts. It was a wonderful day! Happy Birthday to our wonderful husband/father! I can't believe you're 30! What happened to the 21 year old I married? Here's to another great year!
