I know we are not normal....
Parker and Blake had their tonsils and adenoids removed and I had permanent tubes put in my ears. The hospital gave us our own "suite". We all had the same ear, nose, throat doc(gave him a nice helping to our savings!) Parker was first, then Blake, then Me.
(Parker and Blake before surgery.)
Ryan snuck a picture of me...that stinker! Gowns are so slimming..whatever.
Recovery not so fun.
Austin enjoyed spending the night at Grandmas...he enjoyed it so much he didn't want to come home. Tyson was happy to see me, even though I was drugged...goodtimes! hahaha
I will never have surgery the same day as my kids, I was so worried and stressed for them, I didn't even care about me. The lady gave me my IV and I was thinking of my kids the whole time, almost completely oblivious to her. I wanted to be there when they were wheeled into recovery and take care of them, I got to see Parker for a split second before they took me back. Ryan told me Blake had a hard time after and I wished I could've been there. When I came to, after my procedure, I asked the nurse how my kids were doing. As soon as I was able to walk (in recovery) I was over at Parker's side giving him ice chips, and holding the bucket for Blake as he threw up. We came home and hit a wall, it is tough recovery! It was good to have two go through it at the same time so they had someone to watch movies with and stuff. Popsicles, Soup, Mashed potatoes, etc... After 4 days recovery, Ryan went out of town for business for 3 days...needless to say I was so relieved when he finally got home. Recovery is 10-14 days for Blake and Parker, and a couple weeks for me to hear normal again. They missed an entire week of school and basketball games.

Well, we are all on the mend and glad to finally be able to celebrate a new year!
