Little pinkie princie in the Prague Castle

So to compensate my loss for not going back tis easter, I went to prague with my always-kind-and-caring housemate, Shin Li. The final decision was actually made after overcoming 'tolerance' of skiing, Greece and Spain..

So right after celebrating baby joy's big big day (in fact, shin li's brother is having the same birthday as joy), we headed off to birm international for our adventure! If u do not know yet, prague is in czech republic; and if u still do not know yet, czech republic is in europe.. You do not hv to feel shy of ur geography bcuz i do not know where is prague is in the first instance as well! (Actually i dont even know where's europe until when i came to uk, sigh..) Say hello to prague!
We decided to visit the most significant cultural institution in Czech Republic, the Prague Castle. In the case that u dont know (as well), Prague is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. And we visited another place in Czech that is also another UNESCO site (so stay tuned!)..A bit more introduction of Czech Republic for you.. Albeit being part of EU, Czech Republic does not use Euro as their main currency. Instead they use Corona/Crown. For the first few days, we actually had little difficulties budgeting in terms of converting multiple currencies here and there.. But practice makes perfect is true. One msian ringgit = 5 Crowns or if u r more familiar with pound, one pound = 27 Crowns. This shall mean our ringgit is of higher value than Czech Corona. But anyway, i shall tell u also that one ringgit is now equivalent to about 5 ringgit or even 4.9 (good and bad news at the same time)..

Okay, back to prague castle, it is world's largest castle complex with an area of almost 70,000 m². There are numerous in it with various architectural styles and characteristics.
One of the most popular building is the St. Vitus Cathedral. You shall be amazed while u grasp the architecture of the building.
Shin li was asking if ancient ppl were too free thus they have time to carve all these.. :)A carved-map of prague.. Charles bridge linking the east and west of Prague..
Tat's the powder tower.. A display in the toy museum..
Compare our sizes.. ^o^
Tat's St. Wenceslas vineyard, also the venue for the best view of city of Prague. Playing hide-and-seek in the south gardens..
The dancing house, standing glamorously in the nite..
The night view in prague was awesomely beautiful as well! Especially if u see it with your own eyes! ^-^
The castle was just like a disneyland.. Apologies that the picture is big too small, i ve tried my best.. But if u r really keen, u can get a bigger and clearer view on my facebook!I know i have not been talking bout Czech food yet. I shall leave it for the next post as i gotta go for dinner, see you! :D

spring at the doorsteps

Yayyy, so it's the last day of school on this side of the world, and life has pretty much been the same, with books, notes and assignments signifiying every single day. The exception is that dramas and chats highlighted and enlighted my day compared to others.

Spring has arrived though, along with the first flowers that trace the path from maths stats building to the library bus stop. I wonder how could springflowers b so brilliant to grow by itself when it knows that it's time. Anyway, the arrival of spring kind of comforted myself of a warmer and comfortable weather for outings!!The sun is out to mark the day ^-^Rows of trees welcoming us :)
After much agony and determination, I've finally decided to stay behind for spring break this year! Yes, i am not going back. Despite so, i am expecting lots of camping out, random day trips, morning runs, chat buddies, as well as essays and books still. Oh ya, and easter eggs!! Slightly jealous of those (pui yee, you) going home for a warmer easter with lots of lots of good local food, omg, i hv cravings for bah kut teh, steamboat, crabs, curry mee and nasi lemak!! But on the other hand, i still hv lots of plans and ideas into filling up my easter to-do list.. So yes, i am happy :)

So this also means that u will find me blogging on a random and more frequent basis!!

the boost to study hard in the weekend

Well well well.. i would just like to capture the feeling of excitement and joy before i 'indulge' into my finance notes and texts.. I did one of the craziest thing on earth yesterday, made one of the lamest decision as well.. Many were asking 'Who's ur bf? Where?'.. I guess i shall not hide it anymore. He was supposed to come last thurs, however, i shall not comment the reason of him not turning up. But anyway, it was quite enjoyable with the delicious nasi briyani which i have been craving for.. N well, they promised to pass my 'suprise' to my bf.. n even took a photo of me for his recap :)
Actually i made another for his ex-gf wong mew choo as well.. Honestly speaking, the making of the card wasnt tat painful, but the content in it almost took me the entire nite :D
Basically it's a visit from the ministry of youth and sports to our uni, in collaboration of the arrival of the national badminton team in birm for All England.. THe players did not turn up, only the ministers.. The big photo.. Did u manage to find me?? Back to the crazy-and-lame decision, an hour before the event started, I got the push to go to meet my bf in birmingham! As i ve mentioned earlier, i ve decided not to go, but then...... hmmmmmm.. ;)

But i can tell u that it wasnt unfruitful at all.. It was a blessed trip.. Firstly, lee chong wei won his match!! (and lin dan lost his...) There were quite a few very interesting and heart-beating matches, for instance taufik vs peter gade, fu hai feng's match, lee yong dae's match.. Obviously someone threw or flung his or their racquettes after losing.. Although at first thought tis isnt sportmanship, but when we came to think bout it, their feelings were understandable. Imagine u were just one little step away, one point away, worst off, there were some debates on whether tis shud be in or out. The hinch of explosions and fury were really tensed for certain games..

Ohhh i got this from lin dan's fans club.. Bane bane.. jealous leh... =P Secondly, with faiz's lead, we waited at the exit after the event. It was worthwhile standing in the cold. We managed to get my bf's autograph, as well as wong choong han's. Lee wan wah's was gotten in the arena after he finished his match.
I couldnt describe my feeling seeing him in person. I was totally stunned and my mind just got blank.. He's pretty typical msian i would say, and very friendly. Wong choong hann is very nice and kind too. But as they need to rest and prepare for tmrw's match, we couldnt make them stay longer. But i m just so much contented, satisfied and happy! The lame decision ended up being a wise decision. Instead of saying that we are lucky, i would think that we are 'destined' :D

looking forward to my date

No words can express my feelings today.. Had an awesome presentation in the evening, thx to all my grp members. And u know what, my bf is coming to warwick (to see me)!!

It was totally out of my expectation!! I couldnt believe what i heard was real when shinli passed me the news. Initially i was disappointed that i couldnt meet up with him this weekend as I have a class test nx week, but he's so nice and caring that he made an effort to come over to see me!! Is that telepathy?? :D

Anyway, im burning the midnite oil to gv him a suprise too.. Lots of questions playing in mind for instance what shud i say, what shud i do, what shud i wear.. It's simply so fascinating and im looking forward for his arrival.. Shhhh.. Apparently the press are coming too, so i shall keep a low profile so that our 'rship' will not be bombarded with questions and affected our normal life..

If we manage to take some photos together (as he's very busy hence the time we get to spend together is very limited), i ll show u :D

But may you stay healthy, happy and pretty always, with all the best things and ppl surrounding u.. Love you bane bane.. Thank you for always being a very kind sister, always being bullied by me, and always tolerate me like an elder sister rather than a younger one.. Utilise the gift voucher for something meaningful and special u like ya, and hv an enjoyable celebration (with ur 'lan zheng long'), (but really dont sleep so much already, sleeping beauty) =P .... and that's mum's belated birthday gift that i posted home last 2 weeks.. Although it wasnt a very big suprise (basically my mum could recognise my handwriting on the letter), but im glad u like it mummy :D
I've been such a frequent post office these few weeks.. Mainly because my family members' birthdays are just 1-2 weeks from each other. All their birthdays concentrate on feb, mar and april.. only pinkiecloud's further away in aug.. So next, u know what u shall expect for your birthdays.. pressure for me, if i do not manage to design handmade cards**
