europe 365

There is a flood of travelling photos all around fb recently. I used to think that being able to study in UK provides the golden opportunity to travel and explore around europe. But i realise that this is no longer true. With plummetting travelling costs and increasing spending (or earning) powers, to travel to Europe is no more a great luxury as before, France, Italy, Spain, Austria. You dont really need to study there to travel there.
It's kinda depressing as i find myself with no leisure time to travel. Australia and New Zealand is still outstanding in my list. And with mock coming near, with exams coming after, there is just no way to go despite we have these dozens of holidays in the year. In fact, i ve not even visited our own Legoland!
Sobssss..

Everyone around is actually praying for my studies to end soon. A few commented that i am crazy and over-ambitious, complemented with a sceptical and doubtful look that u wouldnt feel comfortable and confident looking at. What can i say. Once decision is made, there is just no turning back, and u just hv to strive and achieve it with all you can. Maybe it's just my life. Work hard pinkie!

red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet

We are used to seeing rainbows when the sun shines after the rain. But today, it was a Sun Rainbow, better known as a Solar Halo. Halos are seen as a white ring, around the Sun or Moon. A rather optical phenomenon, yet possibly observed few times in a year.
Would you be my rainbow? ♥
Super super nice isnt it? I ve always love rainbowss! It's like new hope stemming from gloomy rain showers. There's no rainbow without a little rainbow, that's how sayings say.

To be honest, i didn manage to catch a glimpse of the picturesque. I wish i did, very very much. Thanks to our technology for being able to capture the magnificient moment.

Dear Sun Rainbow, may you bring a delightful horizon to the month of October. With love.

forever-failing gatherings

Recently, I'm kinda missing a whole bunch of people (who have all jetted all around the world. Some photos of the good times:
Last hangout before grad
ps: HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHIN SHIN :DD

Easter at Chester Market

Dressing up with Yifei for grad ball.. And they got me a lovely princess crown =))

CNY CNY CNY..
It's rather perplexing that nowadays as we are thronged to life commitment, conversations become texting, non-events became a presumption that everyone is doing fine, birthday became the only avenue to 'force' everyone to meet up. No more skype, no more msn, not even fb. One of my friend commented that i seem to disappear for a while. Anyway, all these are is exceptionally hugely felt when i ve got to retrieve photos from last year to be posted. Sigh. People's priorities do change. Is that the trade off for growing up and goal pursuit?

harking back to austria

Chatting with pfalcon last nite about austria brought back lots of fond memories at salzburg. I browsed thru my post list hoping to get a summary of Austria which i can briefly share some of mine, only to realise that it wasnt there. Having nothing much to share about my monotonous hectic schdule, do allow me to escort you to a short trip in austria =)

One of the most exciting part of travelling abroad is nonetheless food!
Mushroom gouloash with dumpling.. Dumpling is similar to our rice. It's actually a Hungarian dish if im not mistaken..

Snitzels..

The all-time favourite dessert - pancakes!

Not forgetting the setting for the Sound of Music, a musical which almost each and every child watched - Salzburg! I actually watched it hundreds of times until i can recall almost everything and replay it. Anywa, the most remarkable one is the scene whereby the children sang "Do Re Mi" surrounding the fountain. Unfortunately, chiewyi n juanjuan refused to imitate the musical, leaving me alone posing lol..

Anyway it's called the Mirabell Gardens :)
 The front view of it..
Im not sure.. But everything looks so familiar here, with shadows of the Von Trapp family..
And of course the close knits and company of awesome friends =)
Can someone tell me why are our bridges and rivers so different from others?

Songs like "The sound of music", "My fav things" and "So long, farewell" keep humming in my mind throughout the trip. Omg i felt like flying to europe now, so much! Ironically, despite all the whinning about homesickness, inability to drive around, freezing cold winter, quiet nights, i miss those days badly. To queall any raising eyebrows, we agree that this applies to everyone no matter how much you hated uni days before. It's a valuable experience of lifetime.
