2nd Anniversary

Drew and I celebrated our two year anniversary on Tuesday, October 7th. Drew sent me the most gorgeous long stem red roses I have ever seen. Baby, thank you they were beautiful. He also cooked us a fantastic steak and lobster dinner. Time is flying by so fast and we are loving every minute. We are truly blessed each day and grow in our love for each other. We cannot wait to see what God has in store for our family.

Emalie's Baptism and More

On Sunday, October 12th, 2008 our little niece received the light of God through infant baptism. The ceremony was filled with so much peace and joy. Drew and I were truly blessed to witness such a special moment in her life. I was honor to be named her Godmother.
We started the day dressing Emalie in her baptismal gown.
Aidan started the day as he always does, playing trains.
The Catholic faith chooses to hold the sacrament of baptism during infancy. The faith has decided to return to baptism by submersion so here is Emalie in her towel.
During the service.
After about 10 minutes, it was lights out.
Here is Emalie with the Deacon right before the submersion. Emalie was the only baby not to cry. She did so good.
After the submersion we returned to the vestibule to dress Emalie in her baptismal gown. I love this picture.

Here is Mel, JW, and Spud dressing Emalie.
This picture can only be described with one word: angelic. The way the light is shining down on Emalie is amazing.

A little time with Daddy.
Once we dressed Emalie it was time for her to receive the sign of the cross.

Then the Godparents presented her with the light. This was one of the neatest parts of the ceremony. Spud and I will always be with her and will always be there to provide support.
Emalie, here is our gift to you. May the light of God always shine down on you and give you peace. We love you baby girl and thank God everyday for sending us one of his angels.
Here are the boys resting after a long morning of ceremonies.
The parents and Godparents.
The Lovoi family. We missed you Aunt Jenny, but we know you were there in spirit.

Melissa and J treated everyone to a fantastic lunch after the ceremony. Here is Jodi holding Emalie.

Uncle Tommy, Aunt Liz and Aunt Shelia made the trip to be a part of Emalie's special day.

Mel, Dan, Emily and Spud. Congratulations to Dan and Emily who are expecting their first child.

Pretty in Pink.

The weekend of the 18th I went with to the TAMU v Tech game with the Washingtons. We were up early, ready to support the 12th man. It was so nice getting back to campus. Aidan loves his Aggie boots. He would wear them everyday if we let him. He received so many complements at the game.
This is a sweet picture of Aidan riding on Daddy's shoulders.
An Aggie family.

Dixie Chicken, WHOOP!
Emalie did so well during the game for it being so hot, but once the game was over she was out. Thank you J and Mel for letting me catch a ride to the game. I had a blast!
