Full Term and Nursery Pics

Well, we have made it. As of this past Saturday we are full term at 38 weeks. Luke's alien like movements are really slowing down which is a good sign that our baby boy is filling out. We are anticipating Luke to be 8- 8.5 lb. A few more days and he will be here with us and we cannot wait.
Drew and I had date night on Saturday to celebrate our last Saturday as a "free" couple. We will make sure to keep everyone updated on baby Luke's progress. Thank you to everyone who has sent there thoughts and prayers. Oh, one last thing we have decided to send out late Christmas cards due to the upcoming delivery so do not panic if you do not receive a card prior to Christmas. Next time we post we will have a sweet baby boy!!!
Finally, here are the pictures of the nursery. We have to send a special thank you to the grand parents and great grandparents for all your kindness. Taddy the bedding is absolutely wonderful!!

Thanksgiving and Toys

Gay and Roger and came to visit us in Alabama for Thanksgiving. We had great food, watched some great football, and put together Luke's "toys".
Working hard on the seat for the swing.
Reading instructions is always a good thing.

Here are some recent prego pics - 36 weeks.
37 weeks. We have another doctor appointment tomorrow. As of our last visit we are dialated to 1. The legs and hands are really starting to swell, so these days I spend the majority of my time on the coush with my feet up. 12 more days!!!!!

Happy 4th Aidan

While visiting Texas for Luke's shower, we also celebrated Aidan's 4th birthday. He was so sweet. When he found out that we were having Luke's shower on his birthday he called me and said "Aunt Laurie it's ok, I will share my birthday with Baby Luke." I almost cried.
All the family came over to eat gumbo, watch the OU v TAMU game, and celebrate his big day.
Aidan is really big into Diego. So of course, a Diego cake.
Getting the candles ready.

Success . . . all the candles are blown out.

We woke up really early the morning after to play with all the gifts. It was a great weekend. I really seeing all the family and catching up with close friends. The next time we are in Texas, we will have Baby Luke with us.

Beaumont Shower

Back in early November we had a shower for Baby Luke in Beaumont. It was so nice to see all my relatives and close friends. The hostesses did such a great job with everything. The food was super yummy and the flowers were gorgeous.
Delicious cake.

The Lovoi Women

Shelle, Jennifer, Mel and Jen did a fantastic job pulling everything together for the shower. Thank you for everything ladies.

Some of our closest friends came to the shower to help celebrate. It was so nice catching up with the Namans.

I was so happy to have both sisters at the shower. It is so nice to have Jen back in Texas. We will miss the NYC trips, but nothing would trade having you back home.

Sam and Jen

We were so blessed with generous friends. Luke got some great gifts!

Drew and I cannot wait to read to our little guy. We have a great collection of books started in the nursery.

The Aggie Diehards - Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Wright and Mom

Mrs. Johnson knitted this beautiful blue blanket for Luke with a hat to boot. I cannot wait to wrap my little precious in beautiful gift.

Thank you for the gym Mary Katherine!

Catching up with my cousin Tracy. Thank you so much for making the trip to the shower. It was so nice seeing Tracy, Kinsley and Blainey.

Aunt Helen came in as well.

Jodi and Aunt Helen

A special gift from Aunt Jenny - Luke's First Christmas stocking. It was such a thoughtful gift because Jen is a December baby too.

My great friends Jen and JoNeel were not able to make the shower, but still sent Luke great gifts. Hey Jo, I am so sorry but we did not get a pick with the awesome towel and binky clips. Thank you both so much for great gifts. I miss you!!

Emalie has really taken to jewelry lately. Aren't the curls too cute!

After a long day of showers and birthday parties Mom and I went through all the great gifts. I was such a lovely weekend and I cannot thank everyone enough for all the great gifts for Luke. We have everything we need. We just are missing one important piece . . . Luke will be here soon. Pics of the nursery to follow.
