Today our little guy turns a year old. You never believe people when they say time flies. Well, we are now firm believers that you must enjoy every minute because Luke has grown up overnight! This time last year we were patiently waiting to see our love for the first time. Luke is on the verge of taking his first step and has become very curious of everything around him. His favorite toys are his walker, any kind of ball, his mirror play set, and magnets. He is saying dada, ball, and has said mama a few times when he is upset or tired. One funny thing about Luke is he has started laughing at himself or when he looks at books. It is too funny! He has a total of 10 teeth now including 1 molar. For you parents with toddlers, beware the molars!!We are guessing his weight right around 26lbs and have no idea on his height. We are headed for his checkup this afternoon so we will have more details later. We have put together some of our favority pictures of Luke over his first year. Luke has been such a joy in our lives and we could not image life any other way. God has blessed our little family with a loving, sweet, happy child. We love you Luke and wish you a very happy birthday!

My New Do
Luke went to teh barber shop for his first big boy haircut. I have trimmed his hair every now and then for the past fewmonths, but the time finally came for a professional. It is realy hard to make the hairline straight when working with a squirmy toddler. The lady did a great job except the front is a little too short. No worries though as we know if will grow out soon.
Luke did so well! He sat patiently in Daddy's lap.
Finished product!

Luke's Best Bud and Brushing Teeth
Luke loves playing with his best bud, Grant. They had a great time pushing the little red wagon.
They also enjoy cruising the neighborhood in there cars. I love this picture!
Looking at Mommies.
I bought this bumper sticker before we left Texas and I was waiting for the perfect opportunity to use. I think this was the perfect place!
Goofing around on a Saturday!
Luke's first birthday is coming up soon. He has 8 almost 9 teeth so we decided it is time to start practicing good dental hygiene.
Uh, not sure just yet.
Success!
Uh, we did ok but will start working on it.

Thanksgiving 2010
Thanksgiving was so great this year. We dropped off the kiddo at my parent's house for a few days and headed down to the deer lease for a little R&R. Mommy got to sleep in till 10am four days straight and had the occasional nap. We missed you kiddo, but thank you Taddy and Grandpa!
Drew shot his biggest buck yet.
Just a quick picture of the sunset in "God's Country". We cannot wait to come back. We headed back to my parent's house for the rest of the holidays and I neglected to take any pictures. I am counting on Taddy to send me some of Luke with his cousins.

Uncle Jeff
Uncle Jeff came for a visit last night. Gulfport, MS is now part of his sales territory, so we had the chance to eat a great dinner and visit. Luke loves his Godfather!
Uncle Jeff and Aunt Bethany sent a great interactive toy for Luke. How loved all the lights and noises.
Mommy playing around with camera filters. Still a work in progress.

Happy Halloween
Happy Halloween from The Lowery's.
We thought you might enjoy the natural progression of our costume dressing experience.
Houston I think we have a problem.
What is this thing on my head?
A few minutes later we were all smiles.

Little Gym
Our friends The Yaegar's told us about L:ittle Gym and how much their little guy loved the class. We went to our first little gym this weekend and Luke loved it!
It was really great for his motor skills and the teacher really encourages each child to explore and take risks. As soon as we put Luke down on the mat he was off to the races exploring. I promise to get more action shots next weekend. He was not too sure about the tuck and roll, but we will work on it.
Walking in a circle. Such a big boy.
Our friends the Yaegar's!
Luke is all boy. He really was not into scarf tossing.
More new things, Luke has a little car now that we take on walks in the neighborhood. It really beats the boring stroller.
Taddy sent a care package filled with fun toys and shoes. We love our sock monkey!
My two favorite guys before church on Sunday. Luke wore one of Drew's outfits from when he was little and Taddy's new shoes.
