What's New

Jonas had his 18mth well check-up visit on Wed and everything was good. He got his last shot for now and will get his next set at 4yo. That seems far away, but as fast as time flies, it will be here soon. I can't remember his stats but he weighed something in the 26 lb range and is within the 34" range in height. Jonas has his hearing screen and speech eval next Tuesday, July 3 at Arkansas Children's Hospital. Jonas is basically saying one word, UH-OH, but mimics what you say except any other person would not be able to tell what he says besides us. I am anxious to get the results and have our little man talking!!!
Just look at the swirl on the back of Reese's head. She has several cow-licks and this seems to be the biggest one. Looks like a lil tornado wrapped around her head.

Reese is 3mths today!

Reese has just started putting things in her mouth this week. If her outfit can reach her mouth, she is usually sucking on it before the day is over. If she can't get her outfit in there, she puts her blanket. She is cooing more and smiling really big for us and her toys. She is still eating every 3-4 hrs and that includes night-time too. She loves to nurse but has finally got the bottle down too. She takes the original NUK nipple that is just like her paci. Here are some pics that I took this morning!

Lozada Crew update

We have company in town this weekend. Jason's father and step-mom are here, aka Nana & Pops. Here is Pops holding Reese. He sure does have the magic touch in calming her down... just like her Poppa. She loves the boys already!

Jonas in my closet as I was trying to get ready Saturday night. We are headed to PF Chang's, a family fav! He got new sandals on Friday and is in a size 7. We really can't believe how fast our lil man is growing.

Here is our new floor that Jason & his dad put down this weekend. We are finally carpet free! This was our only room with carpet and we were so excited to put down these wood floors. Thanks for helping out Pops.

As far as bottles with Reese, she did take the original NUK nipple given by her Nana, sitting in her bouncy on Friday night. It was 2 oz and we are not sure if it was a fluke or not. We did attempt the bottle again tonight, and it was NOT successful. We are going to keep trying every day until she gets used to it. If I am holding her, she will not take the bottle at all. It helps if she is sitting in her bouncy with no touch.

We still have not heard from Children's about a hearing screen for Jonas. I am contacting them on Monday to find out more.

I also return to work on Tuesday and am very excited about it. I will be even more thrilled when our baby girl takes a bottle. Will keep you guys posted!

J & R

Jonas has been under the weather this wkend and early this week. We think his molars are coming in but not sure. He has had fever off and on several days with one vomiting episode and not playing. He lounged on the couch Monday for 5 hours straight. Today (Tuesday) he seems normal again, but that is how yesterday started too. I found him lying on the floor in a pile of clothes that he found in our bedroom yesterday. He's such a cutie!

Jonas loved his mobile when he was little and Reese has finally started showing interest in it as well. Jonas took a peek at her and the mobile, and I was able to capture it. This is Jonas's crib and I put the mobile back in it for him because he STILL loves watching it. He turns it on every morning when he wakes up.

update on the babes

Reese had her 2 mth visit to the doc yesterday. She is doing good but still has colic. Our doc says we have 4 more wks until the colic stage ends. Thank goodness we can see light at the end of the tunnel. She actually has started improving on this and we have been giving her Maalox.... so maybe that is helping too. Her stats: 14lbs 4oz, 23.5 in.

Jonas will be getting a hearing test and speech eval sometime soon. I am supposed to get the appt time/date today. He is not saying any words except "uh-oh" but jabbers ALL the time. He tries to mimic sound, but it comes out strange. I didn't want to wait any longer, so we are having this checked out to see what the problem is with his speech or if it is his ears.
