A lil' bonus!

After we took off the lobster part, Reese reminded us of a tomato so we got her a can of soup and took pics. Her bottom is as round as a tomato!

Boo at the Zoo

Jonas dressed like a cow, but he is referred to as a STEAK.

Arriving at Boo at the Zoo. Jonas was already wanting to run around. He cried and whined while we were there and it about drove us crazy.

Lit up cemetary that Jonas enjoyed running in.

We are home now and this is Reese dressed like a LOBSTER.
She & Jonas are "steak & lobster" this year. They are soooo cute you could just eat them up!!!

Of course we tried very hard to get pics of the kiddos together, but that didn't work out. We are going to put them in their costumes again this weekend when Mamaw Dorothy arrives! That's right.... Mamaw Dororthy is coming back to visit us for almost an entire month!!! Woooo hooooo. Get ready for lots of pics cooking, playing, sewing, and rocking!

Mamaw Dorothy also made Jonas's cow costume. It turned out real cute and he could possibly where it next year. I am all about recycling costumes!

Happy Halloween Week!!!!

A look back....halloween 06 & 07

The top pic is Reese and the bottom is Jonas taken last year in the same costume. Jonas was 10 mths old and Reese is 7mths old. It's funny because they are both looking in the same direction. So, do you think they look alike as babies?

Jonas is 22mths old today!

These are some of Jonas's favorite things to play with. Each morning he gathers these items in one spot and then moves them to different locations throughout the day. He is such a funny character. Daddy just taught Jonas this weekend how to "raise the roof". He is also only taking his paci for naps and night-time, which is a HUGE improvement! He transitioned the paci all by himself and we are very proud. Who knows when we will get rif of it for good. One of his newest favorite foods are baked beans. He has eaten them for lunch & dinner the past several days. Jonas has also started to mimick whatever you are saying. Today I was on the phone saying, "yeah, yeah" and could hear Jonas repeating me. We have yet to hear more on his speech therapy. I will work on that this week contacting Early Intervention. Jonas will be 2 at the end of the year and I can't believe it!

On a side note..... We went to MS last weekend for Jason's 10 yr reunion and had a great time visiting with Jason's family and seeing friends. We didn't have our camera, so no pics from the weekend, but we had an awesome time with his mom, sis, bro, and sis-in-law. Laura, we missed you! Thanks for hanging out with us and stinking up the living room! Gotta love brotherly love!
We also were able to go to USM (Go Eagles) and see our college friends. We love you very much and miss you guys like crazy. Come home Elizabeth!

Aunty Kathy, Aunt Deb, & Su-Su watched Jonas & Reese while we went to MS by ourselves! That was a real treat too. Thank you for taking wonderful care of our kiddos.

Also, thanks to Su-Su & Poppa for our new digital camera. We appreciate you giving us a new one since our other one broke.

CONGRATS to my dear friends Holly & Justin Bertram! They found out today they are expecting TWIN GIRLS and they are due late March. Holly is 17 wks and had no idea God had created 2 babes until today for her ultrasound. What a miracle in the making. We love you guys!

Mommy's art

I have been painting this weekend, which is one of my favorite things to do when I have some extra time. My mom wanted name paintings to go in the kids room at her house, so I did these on Sat & Sun. I painted the bag for Reese right after she was born and have enjoyed using it on our road trips. Both sides are painted; it is not seperate bags.

What happens when mommy is in the shower.....

Yes that's right... I found a blue marker and ate some of it and then doodled up and down my arms. My shirt got some art too. I love being one and running around the house while mommy takes a shower!

My new dress

Someone very special gave me this dress back in the early summer and I can just now fit in it. Thank you so much! I know you want to see me in it, so here I am wearing it like a princess. Mom had to put this x-large bow in my head but it weighs me down. I am not big enough for it yet, but she wanted to see what it looked like. By the way, I turned the big 6mths at the end of September and am loving being the big girl. I have started eating baby foods everyday and it seems that pears & applesauce are my favs. For most babies, they love sleeping on their tummy, but I have only done this twice and it has occured in the past 2 wks. I still prefer the back position. My fav thing to do is watch Jonas play. He is so awesome!

Eating my curds & whey, aka berry applesauce

  • Jonas has started opening the fridge and it can be quite annoying. He comes to us with random foods all the time. Today it was the half-n-half container with deli meat.
  • He shakes his head and it looks just like a wobble doll.
  • He also picks out the marshmallows when eating dry Lucky Charms. I guess I did that too when I was little.
  • Jason has really been working with his words and now Jonas says "da-da", "wa-wa", "car"
  • Jonas knows how to "show me the money" by doing the money sign with your hand
  • We have really been working on the paci issue this week and only giving it to him at nap and night time. He has adapted well.
