Update on the kiddos

Jonas had his 2yo well visit and everything is good. He weighs 30lbs and is 3ft tall. He also had a developmental assessment on Friday (required for every speech therapy candidate) and that was fun. Jonas really enjoyed playing with all the toys. It appears he is delayed socially and in the adaptation area (I think). Not sure what all that means, but will know more this Thursday as I meet with our caseworker to go over the assessment. Due to his delays, Jonas will also receive developmental therapy once a week along with speech twice a week. We are still not in speech therapy, but hopefully by the end of the month we will start. It's been very frustrating and I am anxious to get it going.
Reese turned 10 mths on Sunday and she is into everything. She has just started pulling up and does it with no problem. She ate her first cheese puff this morning and loved it. The pics show her cute face (and the puff remains). Jonas appears to be very jealous of Reese and they are starting to "fight" over toys. Mainly just push and shove.... and then Jonas hits Reese in the head. She remains to be fearless, independent, and on the move. One of these days, she is going to beat Jonas up.... and it won't be long.

At the park

On our way back home to AR, we stopped at a park so the kids could play. It wore them out and we were glad! They had a great time playing. My friends, Sharon and Sarah, were able to meet us there.

We decided at the last minute last Thursday night (Dec 27) to go to MS. Jason & I had 5 days off and we thought it would be a good time to see his dad and step-mom. SO, we headed out Friday evening after I got off work. We made several stops along the way seeing special people in our lives and our trip ended up being great! Our travel time with the kids was a little crazy, but overall our time in MS was very special! Thank you Nana & Pops for hosting us with delicious food, Taco Sombrero, cute outfits for the kids, Krispy Kreme, and loving on us. Glad you guys were able to rearrange your schedule on such short notice of us coming home.

Lozada & Walter kiddos

Ann Elise, Bankston Hays (baby), Wes, Reese & Jonas

What a joy to be able to spend time with Kris, Presley, and their sweet children. Jason & I know Kris & Presley from college and they have actually been incredible mentors for us... especially at marriage & children. Thank you for hosting us on such a quick notice. Our time with you is special as always. We love you guys!
(We had to take driving breaks along the way in our trip, and we stopped at the Walter's for a couple of hours to let the kids play. It tired them out and they slept on the way to Nana & Pops.)
