Voluntary workouts begin this Tuesday.

Tuesday/Thursday, 6:00-7:30, Atkins - bring your U-13 friends!

The good guys won the Duke City Shootout in Albuquerque after posting victories of 9-1, 1-0, and 8-0, and a tie of 0-0. They played well all weekend with only one substitute, and congratulations need to go to Gabriel for posting three shut-outs!

The Duke City Shootout is May 22-23 in Bernalillo, NM, a suburb north of Albuquerque. You should plan to arrive on Friday afternoon/evening. We will play two games on Saturday and one on Sunday (unless we win, then maybe two on Sunday). We will play at the State Farm Soccer Complex, which is just north of Hwy 550 on Tamaya Blvd. The fields are fantastic, and parking is easy. There is a fee for parking, I think maybe $10 for the weekend.
I've been looking into hotels, and I think it's best if each family makes their own reservations for this trip. There are several hotels to choose from in Bernalillo, or you could stay in north Albuquerque and drive a little to get there each day. We'll have a list at practice this week, but here's a list of what I've found for now.

We have mandatory practice this week on Tuesday and Thursday at Atkins beginning at 6:00.

On Monday, there is an optional shooting practice at Atkins at 6:00.

We will practice Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday this week from 6:00 - 8:00 at Atkins.

April dues are due. I will be there Tuesday night to try to collect checks.

Please mark your calendar for the Lubbock Tournament, May 28-30. We are going to register early in hopes that this will help the bracket make.

We are looking at two different tournaments May 21-23 in the metroplex. Please tentaively mark your calendar. I will let you know when we know exactly what we are doing that weekend, and which tourney we are going to play in.
