Wall Decor That Reflects The Mojave Desert Life

It does for me anyway, I ordered this piece two months ago and it finally showed up this morning! I sent the company in Allen Park, Michigan, two emails asking where this piece was and heard absolutely nothing from them, talk about shitty customer relations… that said, it looks great above my TV in the living room. Happy weekend!

The Mojave Desert’s Beauty

These photos are from a few years ago, the road photo is looking west on Charleston Boulevard heading for the Red Rock Escarpment, an ancient fault line with Lovell Canyon on the other side of the fault. The other photo has a Buck Horn Cholla plant in it, that’s a cacti you do not want to mess with! 80 degree is up for the valley today with some wind still hanging around, I may give a bike ride a try today. Happy Easter Weekend!

Stretching Under The Desert Sun

Early this afternoon I made a quick drive to the park for some bird photos and got a very few photos as there were a lot of people there, it was tough to get some photos because of the humans everywhere. I almost missed these turtles enjoying the warmth of the spring sun, one turtle really knows how to get in some aerobic workout too! I used the 24-200mm lens today.

Calming Blues, Loud Yellow

Believe it or not, the photo with the blue sky is an iPhone 15 photo, darn good for such a tiny sensor isn’t it? Another reason why I have not “upgraded” to the latest iPhone. The changes that Apple makes in each generation aren’t big enough or good enough reasons for me to to buy another phone. I always buy them outright.

The yellow flower photo was taken with the Nikon Z50 Mark II camera at 26mm. I decided to sell the Nikon Z30 body as I just stopped using it! It didn’t have a view finder either.

I purchased it for its smaller body size but the size difference between the Z30 and the Z50 really isn’t that much. It was super windy overnight, my palm trees were taking a beating but it’s calmer now with a high of just the low 70s is on for today. I was enjoying the 90s while they were here. Have a great Easter weekend my friends!
