Baby dance video

Hopefully all the posts today will make up for the severe lack of posting lately. We really haven't been able to figure out if we're coming or going lately. They boys are still doing well. Colin would be doing even better if I could figure out what makes him sleep 8-10 hours 1 or 2 nights a week and then be up to eat 4 or 5 times a night on the other nights. Letting Alex cry it out really worked but since they share a room, I'm not sure I'm really ready to try that yet.

Other than the sleep issues, Colin is doing great on his cereal and I think we found a good formula to supplement with that he doesn't puke back up. We're done nursing sooner that I had hoped but I'm still pumping as much as I can, mostly because it's free, and I know it's good for him. He's still only rolling over the one way, but is reaching for everything and is learning how to make many different sounds in addition to screaming and blowing raspberries. It's hard to believe he's almost 6 months already. Mommy still rates 3rd on the play toy list after Alex and Daddy. He squeals with delight whenever they are around and will stop everything when he hears their voices.

Alex's first published works

Alex's first ABC's. He did this all by himself a few weeks ago. I was so proud. Not bad for a boy who won't be in Kindergarten until next year (but I may be a bit biased).
Alex was playing on http://www.starfall.com/ this morning while I was in the shower and came to show me he had written these words. He picks up on things so fast and daily amazes us with something new!

My Boys!

I sure have some crazy boys. They love being with each other. My prayer is that they will be the best of friends for life (like the song from The Fox and the Hound!)

Tubby Time

This was Colin's first time in the tub with his big brother. Alex sure was thrilled to finally have a tubby time playmate.

Thanks Aunt Tammy for the cool blanket. I love sitting in the rocking chair playing with it.

Yearly Phenomenon

Today marks the first day of a yearly phenomenon in our family. For exactly 7 days, Chris gets the privilege of being as old as I am! Happy Birthday Bear!

5 months

And we are rolling over!! This morning I put Colin down for "Tummy Time" expecting him to throw his usual fit and he rolled over to his back! I even was able to get him to do it a couple more times so I could video tape him. I found a pic of Alex at almost 5 months and Colin. Alex was still quite a bit bigger which may work out great when it comes to reusing Alex's baby clothes.

Speaking of Alex.... we just got back from Chris' family reunion in IL (we stayed at Abigail's Place.. check it out!) and had a wonderful time. On the way home we stopped at MickeyD's for lunch somewhere in IL. Alex walked in and said, "We've been here before!" He actually remembered that this was the McDonald's we met his Papa and Grammy at over a year ago when we moved up here. He never ceases to amaze me. He definitely has been blessed with his father's memory. I'm so proud of him. The other day he also wrote most of his ABC's. At least 80% of them were very recognizable. I can't wait to teach him how to read. I know he'll love it as much as his father and I do!

Please continue to keep us in your prayers. Chris started his part time job at Conway Freight 2 weeks ago. It it going well but has taken some adjusting to on both our parts as it is a 3rd shift job where he's on his feet most of the night. He does ok staying awake until the 30 minute drive home so continue to pray for his safety. I do my best to keep the boys quiet in the morning so he can sleep but it sure isn't easy. I'm going to be picking up some more hours in the afternoons at the daycare so that will help as well. The house in Indiana is STILL for sale. We really feel that since God has continued to provide us with the payment each month we are going to keep on paying as long as we can. Our credit score is pretty good and we'd like to keep it that way. I hate to see it sit empty for another winter since we don't have the budget surplus to heat it this winter like we did last year. So please pray that God shows us how to best handle it this winter. Although it is really frustrating that it hasn't sold, we're open to whatever He wants us to do with it. Thanks in advance!

Rayment Radio

Hello all! I hope you are having a great week!

You might have noticed that I placed a little "radio" on the right side of this blog. I aim to change it on a weekly basis. Eventually I will have a small streaming radio where you can choose what songs.

I hope you enjoy this feature. This week I'm bringing to you an old time radio program.

Let us know what you think!
