Kitten update
So I'm not sure if I made the right decision, but I saw the momma cat in our backyard while I was fixing lunch and had pity on her. I wanted to see what she'd do so I grabbed the grey tiger kitty and laid him on the back step. He's our favorite, but also the smallest so I chose him because he could still use momma the most. She quickly grabbed him up all the while keeping an eye on me just inside the screen door. She had been a good momma and I didn't want her to go through too much pain without having any kittens to nurse. This way she still has one and I still have decreased the neighborhood cat population by three. The other boys are doing ok.

I'm mental
So, I don't already have enough to do. In addition to trying to finish 2 college classes, take care of 3 boys, maintain the inside of the house in some semblance of order, cook and do dishes, give Colin his meds (he has bronchiolitis and doesn't much care for the meds he's on), work as much as I can, and try to get the outside yard in order since it hasn't been tended to in over a year.
You see, I really need one more thing on my plate to send me over the edge. So what do I do? I've been trying to figure out what to do with the increasingly abundant feral cat population in the neighborhood. So when my son came home excited to tell me they had found four kittens (one pregnant momma down, 2 more to deliver in the next few weeks) I headed out to see what was going on! Being the sucker that I am, I had to collect the brood and proceeded to call my friend Cheryl for advice. I bottle fed kittens many moons ago before kids so I dug out the supplies, found a good recipe for kitten formula that didn't require a trip to the store (since I was still in my jammies) and set to the task. Yes, I know it is best to keep them with their momma but this was probably my one and only chance to get them before they grew up feral and added to the lovely cat population that has tripled since we left. I set a trap for momma and hopefully will be able to get her, so please pray that she will be hungry enough to eat the food I put in the trap. I will try to post pictures when I get a chance to take them. In the mean time, wish me luck with my new quadruplets!

Helping Momma
Alex decided last week that he wanted to help me dry dishes. His job was to dry the silverware and plastic cups. It was right before bed and I didn't think anything of it as he was putting away the silverware, but the next morning Chris opened the drawer and saw this...

Spring Thoughts
Warm air
No coats
No boots
Rains alot
Muddy yard
No grass
Fresh air
Open windows
Dirty windows
Spring cleaning
Flowers blooming
Bush trimming
Leaf raking
Sore arms
Kite flying
Children playing
Good and Bad,
but Praise the Lord it's finally SPRING!!!
