a couple cute Lea Maia stories
Lea Maia is growing up so much and entirely too quickly. I am just not ready for this and find myself getting teary eyed often over the next "new" thing she does, because she is our last and therefore my baby.
For example, I asked Lea who her teacher was and she said, "Shaw Shaw" which her teachers name is Mrs. Shaw. She is not supposed to have known the answer to that question yet, she is barely 20 months old! nooooo....
She talks all the time now and sometimes it surprises me what comes out of her mouth. like the other night, someone knocked on the door and lea maia was in the other room and before we opened it, she said asked" daddy? daddy?" and i said no, confidently that it was not daddy because he was on a airplane then she said, "pizza?" which made me laugh. maybe that means we order pizza too often, but no it was not the pizza man either, it was just a package being delivered!
She also does a roll call. My friend Mindi perfectly named it this. Lea Maia will call your name 100 million times, and once you say yes, she will move on to the next person and call their name 100 million times until that person says yes, and then again move on to the next person and so on, until she starts all over again. She does her roll call about 5 times an hour just making sure everyone is still accounted for and paying attention to her.
Also a funny Cabe story is the other night he called at about 3am and i went in there and he said totally half asleep, "mom, i am going to be with you forever. i will never leave you." (heart melting) then he said, "mom, will you be with me forever?" so of course i answer, "yes" and he says, "please dont ever leave me again for tennis". i laughed so hard. you have to know a few things about this.
A. it is 3am, why are we talking about this?
B. i have never played tennis before in my life, but my friend Jan and I started this season.
C. we have played a total of five matches
D. on this particular night, it had been two weeks since my last match, so by no means am i leaving him nightly, or even weekly to play tennis, so i am still not sure where it came from.
As well, the next night, same thing 3am, back to Cabe's room when he calls. This time he says, "Mommy, when I am ten can i come see you play tennis?"
he really must have an issue with this tennis thing that it keeps bothering him at 3am!

this series cracks me, i mean i laugh so hard each time i see these pictures. they are not because she was hurt or sick or anything like that, she just simply was angry at me that i would not carry her down the stairs and was making her do it on her own. hysterical.

Cabe's Christmas Concert
The kids had their christmas concert and Cabe was adorable. he was very happy to see his grandmothers and biso there. he went in and out of the signing phase, but it was still really cute!

Raph's surprise birthday party!
We had a surprise birthday party for chris and raph at five seasons brewery. It was a really great party and Raph was completely surprised. He knew that he was going to surprise party for Chris, but not until we literally walked through the doors did he realize the party was for him, even though he had already seen his OWN father at the party while walking in! In any case, it was a great night with lots of great people!
