Oh dear!

I have been a VERY bad blogger & crafter!

Life has just got in the way of my crafting just lately. Alot of rather upsetting family stuff, school holidays, mojo has left home & starting a new business, so all in all, crafting has taken a very big step backwards.

For those who are interested, my kids are all fine! Sophie has started big school & loves it! Chloe is at pre school every morning & again loving it & JJ, well, he's 10 months now & is a big boy! He's sooooo close to walking, so eyes in backside time.

I am hosting a very simple atc swap over on All Things Crafty Forum. 3x atx's with the colour combo of red & gold, black & white & cream & brown. Here are mine!

Ju over on All Things Crafty Forum has challenged us to use fabric this month! Well, anyone who knows me will know I don't so sewing OF ANY KIND! But thankfully my good old matey Connie came to my rescue with some fabric! I covered a notebook with fabric, added the picture mounted on chipboard & inked the edges!
Hope it will come in useful to it's new owner!

Alison was last months winner on the All Things Crafty raffle & she has chosen this months theme as "vintage", so here are 2 little boxes I have altered. Hope the winner likes them!

Ju over on ATC forum, is hosting a variety swap & this months theme is 3D butterfly. Now, I don't "do" butterflies, but I knew somewhere in my old stash was some butterfly peel offs! So, out they came (oh, the memories of the first stages of crafty!!) & Bob's ya uncle, I knocked this up! It's a beer matt, DI inks & lots of butterflies! I have made it into a fridge magnet. Hope it is ok!

This is my piece for this months raffle over on All things crafty. I used a beer matt, barn door DI & the various stamps & embellishments.

We have to make an atc, Fat page & tag with the theme of something old, something new, something borrowed & something blue.

Umm, so what's happening on my desk today then?

The screwdriver is STILL there, been using it again to take the hinges off my little boxes I'm still altering! (me thinks I is going through an alter stage???!!!)
After using lots of different papers to cover the little drawers, I had loads of scraps left over, so these have been used to alter the box on my desk, still a work in progress, hope to finish it off very soon.

And the rest, well, you know, the usual tools us crafters need!

While the kids had a nap this afternoon, I ran upstairs into my craft room & came up with this. It's amazing what you can come up with just like that, no planning at all with this & I have to say, I do rather like these!

Been messing about in my craft room these last few nights & have altered these boxes, given to me by my good friend Connie
The big one, I gave it a coat of Gesso, then stamped my images, used various DI, then Rock candy. The hinges had rust AI added to them.
The smaller one didn't have gesso, but again, stamped images, DI, rock candy & AI.

This is my take of a tutorial by Deanne, but I'm really not sure about it! I think I might be having another go soon!

I have altered & Distressed this cheap black notepad for the lots to do challenge, which this week is distressed.

I used Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Walnut Stain, Brushed Corduroy, Vintage Photo inks, Gold dabber, Clear rock candy, Grunge paper & grunge elements.

Thought I might as well put his TSV to good use!
But I did drop the wet notebook on my lap, so I hope rock candy comes off in the wash!

Hilda is hosting a tag swap over on Lots to do forum. No theme this time other than use a stamped image. All started off with distress inks, spritzed with water, then I used a new foam stamp from QVC.

These are my entries for the recipe swap, hosted by Ang. We had to use, floral, green, blue or yellow, or all three, sparkle & texture. I used all 3 colours, perfect pearls on the flower head, & stone gems for texture.

Now, don't get to excited folks! I have FINALLY been able to get upstairs in my craft room & actually achieve something worth showing!
Zoe over on Lots to do is hosting a postcard swap, which I have to say, I really did enjoy & got my teeth stuck into, so a very big Thank you to Zoe.
Having never done these before I do hope they fit the bill!
