Well a lot has happened since the last post. Mid October David, Lilly, and I took a spontaneous vacation to Illinois. We spent 1 day and 2 nights with Mom and Dad in Rockford. Relaxation was the agenda after a 15hr drive and Lilly throwing up in the van. Don't worry we had bowls and no we did not take pictures. Gratefully mom and dad still took us in and we feed ducks and ate at Chuck-e-cheese. And we were lucky to see mom before she left to babysit the Simmons' kids. Thanks mom and dad for putting up with us. Next we swung on over to Nauvoo and spent a couple days seeing the sights. It was a little rainy so we didn't see everything and thus we didn't take a lot of pictures (but knowing me i don't take a lot of pictures to begin with). After getting home and doing laundry etc Lilly and I went to a pumpkin patch. They had the works; cartoon cutouts, kiddy hay maze, hay ride, 2 bounce houses, 3 blow-up slides, pumpkin patch, and more. Finally, Lilly and I got to go trick or treating. She was excited although not evidently in the pictures. She maybe wondering why we taking pictures instead of getting candy. We went down one street and a cul-de-sac in one hour and got 3/4 full of her pumpkin bag. Of course David and I helped her eat the candy. The last pictures are of her wanting to wear her snow boots and snow suit. Poor girl lives in Texas.

Enjoy-

A few weeks ago Lilly and I took a mother daughter outing to the zoo. We had gone before but we were also babysitting another baby and it was a hectic day. And I wanted Lilly to really take her time and enjoy the zoo more fully. We had lots of fun. We got to see every animal, take our time, have ice cream, feed the tiny birds, and just have fun. It was a perfect day and it wasn't crowded. Enjoy the pictures.

Updates

So I know I said that I would post something and here we are months later. Well we did get Lilly here bed and we got our family pictures and a few other things. The pictures speak for themselves. I haven't taken any current pictures of Lilly, so I'll share a few things. New phrases of Lilly; That's not right, what are you taking about, that's funny (sounds like a statement but its a question because she wants to know if what she says or does is funny), I'm funny, ( on the phone)- oh exactly uh uh I see, it's not my fault I didn't do anything wrong, and when I was a baby (fill in the blank). Well enjoy the pictures. Nicole the letters was part of my fun jo-ann project- thanks.

Current News

Lets see...  Lilly is out of her crib and on an air mattress while we wait for her big girl mattress to arrive at the store.  It will arrive on Thursday, can't wait.  We also had a fun time picking out her very own new sheets and blanket for her new bed.  I gave her three choices and I was secretly happy that she choose my favorite.  I promise there were no subtle hint dropping or attempts at persuassion.  I'll post pictures when we get it all set up.  Also this week we are having our first professional (if you call sears professional) family pictures taken.  One day while Lilly and I were at the play place in the mall we took a potty break and I saw one of those drawings.  So I signed the paper and dropped it in the box.  Well I didn't think anything of it, but a while ago I got a call and we won a free photo session and a free 10X13 (valued at $20).  Its not much but it was enough incentive for me to say lets get our family picture taken.  I guess I'm really cheap, and lazy or something.  So this Saturday is the big day, cross fingers and hope it works out.  If anybody has suggestions please leave a comment.  Lastly, I will insert my lastest crafty project.  I finally updated my wreath for the front and added some nice potted plants.  I love spring/summer.

Easter Egg-travaganza

Happy Easter to you all. David, Lilly and I had an excellent Easter. We travelled up to Bentonville Arkansas (Walmart world) and stayed with Todd and Christine and their family. The kids got to play together, and the adults got to hang, bike, and chat together. David helped Todd at his bike shop, in his attic, and went on a bike ride. Lilly had a tea fort party, hunted for eggs, rode a trike, a bike, and a scooter. And Chris and I got to chat about anything mommy. We had a great time.

Thank you Uncle Sam

This just goes to show that Uncle Sam takes too much of our taxes. But this time we actually got a good deal of it back. We were able to get a new table and chair set, enough to buy 6months worth of food storage, and some left over to build a space in the attic for the food. So thank you uncle sam. I am so happy to have a table large enough to invite actuall families over for dinner. Now I can actually make friends (a lot easier). Or if anyone wants to take a vacation in Texas we have rooms to spare and now plenty of chairs to sit in.

Lilly's Second

I'm finally posting Lilly's second birthday. She was really excited about this one. There is such a difference between first birthday and second birthday. She knew what she wanted and she could communicate it too. Again she wanted a ballon, which might become a tradition. She just loves getting a ballon for her birthday. It was a great day. We did some fun things with her friends, had some of her favorite cereal (PB captn crunch) and favorite foods, then cake ice cream and presents. Missing in the picture are the cars she picked out with some B-day money from grandma.
