MORGAN'S MEMORY GAME

Aunt Cali made me the greatest Christmas present this year....my own memory game with pictures of MY OWN THINGS! It is so cute! She had taken pictures without me knowing it of some of my favorite things while we were together for a week in Wisconsin. Then, she creatively printed them out and put them on cute wooden squares.....two of each. Now I have a matching game with things I recognize and love. I have been having a lot of fun playing with them this week. I have even gotten good about making matches! Thanks, Aunt Cali!

CHRISTMAS AT GRANDMA JOY & GRANDPA DOUG'S HOUSE

Here I am back at home on Christmas night playing with one of my favorite gifts: My Leapfrog Fridge Letters that I got from Great Grandma and Grandpa. It didn't take me long to figure out how to push the button to hear the ABC song and how to switch out the letters. I even like to dance along with it sometimes.

COUNTING TO TEN

Mommy was shocked when I started counting with her one day. She thinks it is mainly because I have been "counting" with Grandma and Grandpa's clock when it chimes ever since I can remember. I can count to ten.....for the most part. I skip six and go back to eight after nine, but other than that, I think I do a pretty good job.

"HAVING A BALL"

When we got together with Daddy's family on Christmas Eve, Grandpa Bob took us down the road to his church where they have a big "gym." He got out a lot of balls and let Natali, Connell, and me play with them all. We also had a blast just running wild and free in the very big room. Boy were we exhausted by the time we went home. But we sure had a good time!

I saw Daddy playing with this very big basketball....like the ones I see all the time at his school. Of course, I had to try it out for myself.
Score! Two Points! :)

I finally got tired of all the running around, so I took a break....but I wouldn't let go of my "baw."

(Mommy says sorry for the poor quality of the pictures. She was using her old camera. BUT , we got a new camera for Christmas, so the quality of pictures to come should be better!)

JUST THE THREE OF US

Before we went to Grandma Joy and Grandpa Doug's house on Christmas morning, Mommy and Daddy and I had some special quality time just the three of us. When I woke up, Daddy made me a special breakfast.....

Then we all snuggled on the couch together, and Mommy read the Christmas story to us from my Bible book.

Next, I investigated my gifts.....

....then opened them while sitting on Daddy's lap.

The best part was being able to stay in my pajamas!

I got an ABC magnetic board, a number puzzle, a book, two little grocery baskets of fruits and vegetables (for my little kitchen), and an ornament. Thanks Mommy and Daddy!

After I finished opening my gifts, I got to take my first shower! I thought it was fun. Then, we went over to Grandma and Grandpa's for the rest of the day. More on that fun time later.....

MERRY CHRISTMAS 2009

(More pictures and details about my Christmas to come......)

TOO CUTE - HAD TO SHARE!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE

We celebrated Christmas with Daddy's side of the family today. Here are some highlights from our day!

PHOTO EDITING

Mommy found a new photo editing website, and she has been having a great time creating fun collages and jazzed up pictures. Look for more cool pictures to come! Here is an example of what she's been doing....

"Bapple!"

I love apples! ("bapples") I saw Daddy eating an apple today....but he was eating it kinda funny. I always eat my apples cut up in a bowl. I insisted on having some of his "bapple" and I wanted to try eating it the way he was. I actually did pretty well, and kept coming back for more!

A FEW NOTEWORTHY THINGS....

No pictures today....Mommy says it is hard to get pictures of me these days because when I see the camera, I always want to "see, see." Well, when I run around to try to see the pictures on Mommy's camera, Mommy can't take a picture of me. Anyway, on to a few things I have done lately...

1. Mommy took me to CVS the other day. When she got me out of the car, a school bus passed by on the road. I pointed at it and said, "bus" as clear as day. Then I kept saying it over and over as we went into the store. Mommy didn't even know I knew what a bus was....though now that she thinks about it, I do have a toy one that I play with at home and at Grandma's, but no one has ever really officially taught me the word, "bus."

2. I love going down the stairs now on my belly. But Mommy and Daddy laugh when I squat down and turn around backwards on my belly to go down the stairs, even though I am usually still in the middle of the hallway, quite a bit aways from the stairs. I'm working on it, though!

3. I am starting to use 2-3 word sentences. The other day we went to visit Daddy at work, and on the way there, I told Mommy from my carseat, "Go see Daddy." Once when Grandma took her glasses off, I asked her, "Where's glasses?" (It actually sounded more like "weh gasses?") Then this morning when I came downstairs and looked outside, I suddenly got excited and pointed out the window proclaiming, "There's snow!" Again, Mommy was surprised at my vocabulary and asked, "What did you say?" and I said it again! I'd only really seen snow one other time last week when it snowed just a tad bit. Mommy pointed it out to me that the white stuff on the grass was snow, but she really did not think I would remember it.

4. I love all the Christmas lights! I cannot see outside from the front as we have no front window on the main floor except the bathroom window. (Yea, Mommy says it's kinda weird.) Anyway, I don't usually get to see the neighbors' Christmas lights at night. So, the other night when we went to a basketball game and Mommy opened the garage door, I got all excited at all the pretty lights I saw. All the way to the game, I kept giggling and squealing as we passed all kinds of pretty Christmas lights on people's houses.

Well, that's all for now. Hopefully Mommy will get some pictures soon.....

CUTE COUSINS

Grandma Faith bought us three cousins matching outfits for Christmas. Since we all go to the same church, we all got to wear them together yesterday. Mommy and Aunt Jamie didn't have time for a picture, so we got together this morning to play and take some pictures. Mommy says that was quite a feat trying to get all three of us to stay still and smile for a picture! But they managed to catch a few pictures that Grandma will like.

Mommy and Aunt Jamie finally let us play!

And here is how I looked when it was all over....pooped!

JUST LIKE DADDY

Daddy got to be home with us tonight. (No athletic events he had to be at .....Yea!) After he changed out of his work clothes, I snatched up his tie and put it on. I couldn't quite figure out how to tie it, though...... Hmmmm......

*I am 16 months old now, and learning new things faster than Mommy can keep track of! Some new words lately: glasses, breakfast, me, so, more, star, puppy, sticker (sounds more like dihdih), door (I LOVE to push doors open and closed), duck, window (sounds like dihdo), house, down, applesauce (sounds more like dadasos), purse, go (as in "Go Redbirds" - we're still working on the "Redbirds" part), and this (when I want something I point and say "dis"). I also know quite a few letters of the alphabet by sight: A, B, C, D, O, S, and sometimes I. Grandma taught me how to help sing the ABC's by filling in missing letters. I also help Grandma sing "Jesus Loves Me" by saying "me" and "so" whenever it comes up in the song, and "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" by filling in the last word of each phrase. I LOVE to sing! My newest thing is to "hug" anything remotely soft, fuzzy, etc. by putting it to my face and saying "awww." When Grandpa was entertaining me in Kohl's the other day, I found some fuzzy slippers and scarves that I kept rubbing against my face. Mommy says I'm strange. :) Anyway, Mommy and Daddy are having a blast watching me grow up, and I'm having fun learning all sorts of stuff!
*I got two more teeth in (the "pointy" ones on the bottom) which the doctor said wouldn't come in until 18 months or so. I bet that's why I wasn't sleeping well and had a cough and rash. But the last few days again, I have slept for over 2 hours for my naps and haven't gotten up until 8:00 in the morning! (I WAS waking up between 4:30 and 6:00 for awhile.) BUT I got my 15 month shots today and was kinda grumpy afterwards, so hopefully it won't set me back too much again.
