Just testing to see if my blog is still alive!

Aaaaaahhhhhh! My blog is a year behind!!! I will catch up... gasp gasp... I will catch up!

While we were away on the cruise this cutie was born! Levi is number four for Dustin and Aimee and number 12 grandbaby for us! So grateful for a helathy baby!

 we are pulling into Nassau Bahamas... but it will be a little while before we can get off soooooo....
 we will eat first! a nice breakfast buffet with a view of Nassau.
 Awww... Mike has to eat steak for breakfast!
Ok... it's time to get ready to explore Nassau!


Nassau was.... kinda... interesting!!! I don't know exactly what I was expecting... but this was not it! ha! It looks a lot better in the pictures than in real life! ha!
There's these "taxis" everywhere... They look and drive like it might be their last trip! AND... the taxi drivers shove every space in their "vehicle" with people before they take off... AND I don't think there are any traffic laws... everyone just honks when they are turning or changing lanes etc.... Luckily we didn't drive too far!
We are headed to Atlantis... the big tall pink buildings ... it's a resort that you have probably seen advertised on TV... It was gorgeous... but I guess they have tightened their restrictions and prettymuch have closed everything to tourists and it's all for guests only... but it was still pretty.
But tourists could still go in the casino and shops... There were some cool artsy things!






 This is the little deli where we ate lunch.... They had the best pickles! I took a picture of this guy cuz he reminded me of a grownup Bob's Big Boy.... for those of you old emough to remember the Bob's Big Boy statues!
 Back to downtown Nassau to look around... I don't know their history, but they must be be under English rule?!?!?

 This is how the traffic is!!! Scarey!!
 We didn't do much shopping... due to the recent job loss we were on a very strict budget.... but even if our budget was huge we wouldn't have bought anything... I guess there is no tarrif there so all the stores were selling expensive perfume, alcohol, expensive jewelry and tobacco... none for me thanks!
ummmmm.... but we did find ICE CREAM!!!!

 Back safe and sound and ready to go back to the ship!

I usually don't make "New Year's Resolutions"... but I am making just one... I am going to catch up my blog!!! Happy New Year... bring on 2013!!

 Had to go through a terminal kind of thing and had to check in... but it was pretty organized and fast.
 We will be walking through here soon...


 Ahhhh!!! My first picture inside... I wasn't quite sure where to aim the camera cuz everything was so pretty... just like being in some grand hotel!
 Well... the first thing we get to do before we go to our rooms is EAT.... Whoa... look at this place... this is the Enchanted Garden room!




 After our first yummy and impressive meal... we get to go to our rooms...
 I made sure me and Mike got a room with a window!!!
 Our window was big!! and clean... Did I mention that this ship is constantly being cleaned!
 The kids room... They don't have a real window, but that is the view from the front of the ship and every once in a while a little Disney character would dance accross the screen... clever!
The first event we get to go to is the emergency drill... of course I take this seriously! Remember I am a non swimmer going out to the middle of the ocean... so I MAKE SURE we know how to use the life vests! I've already made a mental note of the lifeboats and I might have been the only person that listened to EVERY word of the emergency instructions!!! Ok... I feel informed and now it is on to the fun stuff!!!



 Hey we are leaving!.... oh look... there is that "other" cruise line!
