New Family Pictures

We had absolutely no problems with Téa smiling. She was born to pose and smile for the camera.

See? No smiles here.

This is the closest we were able to get to a smile for Calista. (She actually has a tic-tac in her mouth and was busy sucking on it during this picture. Whatever works, right?)

Ok, so we took our most recent family pictures last month, but like I said earlier in my postings, I have a good excuse for taking my time. Here are a few of my favorites.

Kids Say The Darndest Things

It's been a while since I've posted, but I feel I have a good excuse. Or maybe I'm just extremely lazy. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to share with all of you the words of comfort Téa had for me just a few minutes ago. I guess I'm always trying to explain to my girls why I have a hard time getting my lazy self off the couch to get them breakfast or lunch, or why I just need a few minutes more and then I'll get that toy for you. Well, I sat down after warming up some left over pizza and couldn't stop myself saying (again) I feel so sick! Téa leaned over and patted my shoulder and said "Mom, you just need to be patient and you'll get better soon. You won't always be sick". Oh, my precious 4 year old. I guess she is actually listening to me. I tried telling her everything to make her feel comforted when she had croup and a bad sore throat a couple weeks ago. She kept telling me that she wished she wasn't sick and that she didn't like it when she had a sore throat. I kept telling her that medicine wouldn't make it go away, but that it took time for you body to get better and that we have to be patient. I guess she threw that back at me. So, as I'm writing this I'm trying really hard to think positively as I'm suffering from serious morning sickness and keep telling myself "just be patient, I won't always be sick". (I'll only be sick for another month or two, right?)
