Don't Waste Your Money!

OK, so I'm sad to admit that I actually went and saw the Twilight movie. I'm in tears now as I write this because I wasted a good $5.75 that could have been spent on something like 1/3 of a can of formula for Piper. Meghan and I went with low expectations. We both liked the books and wanted to see the movie. I about lost it when the 16 year old girl next to me started hyperventilating when Edward came on the screen for the first time. I wanted to throw up. Anyway, you know it's a bad movie when during the serious parts the audience is laughing! To quote the comic book guy in The Simpsons: "Worst...movie...ever". That about sums it up for me. (Oh, and those of you who did like the movie, I'll understand if you don't visit my blog for a while.)

Video of Piper Laughing

My first attempt at a video. This is the hardest I've ever heard Piper laugh.

I'm 4 Months Old

Boy has it been a tiring few months. I've learned how to play with toys now so I'm always busy sucking on something or chewing. I got these weird white things in my mouth now, which my mom keeps calling 'teeth'. I guess that's why my mouth hurt for a while. But now I have to be careful when I chew on my own hands. Those things are sharp. I'm starting to find my laugh and it's getting louder each day.

I love it when my sisters play with me. I like it when my mom puts me on a blanket in the middle of the room because I become the center of attention. My sisters can't help but want to play with me. They are a lot of fun. Once again I had to go to the doctor's office for my check up. Thankfully this time they only had to poke me twice. It was over so fast I didn't even cry. I'd like to think I'm getting tougher. Here are my stats:

Weight: 14 lbs. 7 oz. (67%)
Height: 25 in. (76%)

Mom's thinking about giving me some cereal soon. I keep trying to tell her that 6 oz. of formula just doesn't cut it anymore. Give me the good stuff! We'll see if I can get her to start this week. You'd think she'd get the hint when I cry after my bottle has been sucked dry every time. Sheesh. I'll keep everyone posted on that. Here are a few pictures of me being cute. Oh, and I keep telling my mom that I hate tummy time. So this is what I do now when put on my belly.

Halloween Happenings

First of all I tried to do something different with the layout of the pictures. Can I say again how much it is NOT user friendly?! Anyway...Halloween! What fun. Téa dressed up in her Snow Princess costume for school. They had a costume parade through all the classrooms and she loved it. While Téa was at school Calista got to go to work with Daddy. Every other year the girls have gone to work with Mark on Halloween but since Téa has school she missed out. No one ever works on Halloween so it's the one day a year the girls can go without getting in the way. Mark took Calista around to people he knew for trick-or-treating and Calista wouldn't say a word! Not surprising, but she didn't even say anything to Suzi, who Calista knows because she takes our family pictures each year.

For trick-or-treating we went to a tri-ward Trunk-or-Treat at our church parking lot. I love that our ward does this because there is no way I would take my kids around our neighborhood to trick-or-treat. The older girls went with Mark and I stayed with Piper and gave out the candy. I had so much candy that I started giving out handfuls to all the kids. I also had some help giving out candy from some girls from my ward which turned out great because Piper needed to be fed. I also promised them the leftover candy! Calista warmed up to telling people 'trick-or-treat' and said thank-you a few times, I think. It was a fun night!

Pumpkin carving

So I'm a little late doing this post but for Family Home Evening last week we carved pumpkins. The girls had a blast, as usual. Téa drew what she wanted carved on her pumpkin and then I just carved it. She drew a black widow and did a pretty good job. She's fascinated with black widows right now because I caught one on our back porch and put it in a mason jar. It was our 'pet' for a few days. This is what Piper did while we carved pumpkins. Content just to watch.
Téa chose this pumpkin at her school field trip to Hee Haw's. She liked that it was mostly green.
Calista really got into scraping out the guts.
