First Day of School 2012

What a happy day!  The girls are happy to be back in school and I’m happy that they are out of the house and having something to do instead of being ‘bored’ at home.  The last two weeks of summer have been hard.  The kids were ready to get back to school and I was ready to not have to play referee all day long.

This year Téa is in 4th grade which is totally weird to me.  Time is going so fast and she is growing up even faster.  It feels like I was taking her to Kindergarten just last year.  Téa has a teacher that is new to our school this year.  I’m hoping to hear good things when she gets home from school today.  She really wanted a male teacher and there are actually two teaching 4th grade this year.  Sadly, the odds were not in her favor.

Calista is a big 2nd grader now.  She was hoping for the teacher  Téa had for 2nd grade but got another great teacher instead.  I know she will love her teacher this year.  She is fun and energetic and loves to dance (which is Calista’s passion right now).

And of course I have to get picture of the sisters together and pretend they love each other for at least a few seconds.

Piper will start preschool in two weeks.  She can’t wait.  Neither can I!

And just a little side story…last night Mark got a chair from the dining room table and put it in the living room so he could get started on doing Father’s Blessings.  We do them every year at the beginning of the school year.  He set the chair down and said “Who’s first?”  then Max came wandering over and hopped up into the chair.  We all laughed so hard.  And Max just looked up at Mark and meowed.
