Merry Christmas!!

Hey Everybody,Just like everyone else I'm sure, we had a wonderful Christmas! Did lots of fun things with lots of fun people! Unfortunately my mom was sick on the day we were with my family.Poor thing! We went over to my mom and dads on Christmas Eve for a little bit. We went over to my grandmas later on for some Christmas craziness! : ) After we went back to my mom and dad's house where Santa came a little early. It was so fun seeing Aaron's reaction to his RC that Santa just brought him. He was hyperventilating! : ) My parents and I gave Mike a Dremel which he could wait to tear into. : ) Later that night we went to my mother in law's to spend the night so we could be there nice and early Christmas morning. Ended up only getting 4 hours of sleep. Awesome! :) It was fun to open presents with everybody. The presents were followed by a delicious Christmas brunch. The next day was filled with some crazy RCing. On Sunday we got a wonderful surprise that Rachel and Jake and kids were coming from Montana. It was so good to see them, and I absolutely loved holding little Bridger! Mike even got in on the baby action (cause I forced him too. : ) ) The week then proceeded with Monopoly, and other fun games. : ) New Years Eve was also a blast. We went over to Brock and Savannah's house for a game of Curses, Catch Phrase, and other fun ones. All in all, the holidays were awesome, and I'm sad to see them over. Thanks to all of our family and friends for the fun times and good food. : ) Ps. A lot of my pictures were either blurry or got deleted on accident. So sorry cause a lot of the fun didn't get caught on photo.
Mike and I at Brock and Savannah's house on New Years Eve

"The Boys" We got a picture of "The Girls" but my stupid camera was blurry most of the time.

G and G Taylor gave Mike and I a gift card to Olive Garden. Mom had disguised it by putting it in a dryer sheet box. It smelled deliciously fresh when we opened it. : ) PS. The shredded paper on the floor was used in Nick's present. "Santa" Gave him scriptures and put them in a huge box full of shredded paper.

Dad got a biography about Porter Rockwell from Santa.

Aaron and his beloved Slash.

Santa gave Nick Scriptures. He had marked some scriptures in the scriptures about spending your money wisely, then happened to put some cash in those pages. : )

Mom and Dad give us jammies every year. Here are Mike's awesome Nike pants
I got cute pink flannel ones and man they are warm and cozy!

Here's Mike and I just chillin after stuffing our faces at Christmas brunch. : )
The girls got cute scarves and gloves. We all turned into hand models on Christmas morning. : )

Here's us waiting at Temple Square.

Graduation!! : )

Hello!

I graduated from my LPN program on Thursday! It was a good time. I kinda felt bad for the fam though cause it ended being 2 hours by the end of it. It's kind of weird that I won't see some of the people in my class anymore. Next step, RN! PS. I'm sorry I don't have any pictures up. We took a whole bunch but they were all blurry for some reason. Tata!! ; )

Hi Everyone,
I hope that everybody had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We did! The food was fabulous! (Thanks mom!) The family was wonderful! It was all good. Mike and I have so much to be grateful for. We want to thank all of our family and friends for everything they do for us and for being in our lives. We're so blessed! : ) P.S sorry I kinda got busy later on and didn't take very many pictures.

My honey and I. : )

Ha ha doesn't Mike look thrilled!! That was his " I'm pretending I don't like these guys but I really do" look. : )

Lulu first jumped on the table and started licking the butter. Then she decided that she belonged in the roll basket. Silly Kitty! : ) (And for all you cat haters, I don't care what you say, she's cute!!)

Happy Halloween!!!

BOO! Halloween was so fun! I was kind of feeling yucky Friday night/Saturday Morning (No it wasn't morning sickness!!) but luckily I got feeling better that night. We had a good time going to the corn maze on Friday night and yes I'm a huge wimp! It was haunted and I got pretty scared a couple times! Then on Saturday night we went to Mckade and Stacies for a little Halloween shin dig. Good food, good friends, good fun! : 0 )
This is Cleatus and Ellie May!

Patrick and Mandy and Avery are the bee family. Then there is Brock and Savannah

Hello!

It was a perfect day for E maxxing! Dad was behind the drivers seat, and Mike was on pit crew/photography : )

Monday, October 19, 2009

Yes, this picture is from the 4th of July but I like it! Wow things have been kinda crazy! I counted and I only have like 20 more days of class and 10 days of clinical! WooHoo! So Mike and I are about the same. Just going to school and keeping afloat. Mike has been thinking that he might look into becoming a fireman! I thought that would be kinda cool and if it was something he loved than that would be even better. Our families have been kinda riddled with surgeries lately. My sister in law Kristen had to have her whole small intestine removed! She's doing fine now though. My dad had to have surgery on an abdominal incisional hernia. He's really really sore now, but he'll recover. Than my aunt had to have another surgery too! Man, way to much surgery. I'm excited for halloween. What is everyone going to be? Anyway, thought I would just write something quick. We haven't done anything too exciting lately so... Peace!

Boy's and their toys!

Hey guys and gals!

I just thought I would share a few pictures of what we've been up to the last couple of weeks. We've made a couple of dunes trips. Always fun. It was my dads birthday on the Sept. 23rd so we went over there for a little birthday fun. One thing that Mike and my dad like to do is Play with their E maxx remote control trucks. They're really cool actually. They have tons of fun with them. My mom bought my dad a new body for his e maxx and painted it with his favorite band, RUSH, and the theme. She did a really good job on it. She kinda painted his old one that is way beat up too and gave him that one as a joke. So now that's his bashing body and he has is RUSH one that he doesn't even dare drive with. Anyway here are some pictures of their
little e maxx time. : ) TTFN.

Mike unfortunately broke his the first run they did. You can tell he was really sad. : ) He was trying to get it to do a back flip off of this little jump(broken card table) that he uses. He actually lands it a lot of the time but for some reason this time it broke when it landed. Sad!;)
The next picture is of dad's old body style. Pretty beat up! : ) My camera decided it didn't want to work anymore before I could take a picture of his new one. It looks pretty dang good though! I'm sure I'll be back later with some killer video of the 2 crazy E maxxers! : )

Mike the Rigger!

Hey everybody! Sorry I haven't posted anything for a while. It's been kinda busy this last little bit. So I have to tell you how my husband is the master at jimmy rigging. I needed to take a little break before I started my studying again, so Mike and I decided to go mountain biking up green canyon. (Please ignore the fact that I look like a man in the first picture!!?) So the night before we went biking, Mike had the idea to make a homemade bike rack for the truck. We had bought these little things that are supposed to go in the bed of a truck that you can attach your bikes to, but they have to screw directly into the bed of the truck. Since we tend to cycle through vehicles so quickly, Mike did want to bolt them to the bed. So he came up with an ingenious idea. Instead of buying a bike stand from Al's for $250 per bike, Mike being the rigger (and cheap : ) he is decided to go to Home Depot for a solution. One shower curtain rod, plumbing bolts and some screws and bolts later, we had a bike rack! And it actually worked pretty good. : ) Silly man! ; )
Yikes! Please ignore this picture!
We even picked out a "chrome" show curtain rod. ; )

Pretty nifty!

Just saying hi

Hey everybody. So we haven't really done much the last little while so I don't have any fun stories or pictures. I've been pretty busy with school, but it's been pretty fun. I did my first clinical for this semester on Thursday. The scheduling for clinical kinda sucks this semester. We have to go from 3-11 on Thursday, then from 7-3 on Friday. I might as well just sleep at the hospital. I was on the pediatrics unit on Thursday. At first I was a little bummed cause when I first came in, there were no kids, just adults on the unit. If there aren't any kids to admit, they'll just take a couple of people from surgical so the nurse has at least 1 or 2 people to take care of. It was kinda boring at first. The 2 patients who were there were not very critical, and kinda didn't need much nursing care. That night though, a little 3 year old girl was admitted for asthma problems. She also had cerebral palsy. But this little girl was SO CUTE! She was tiny too. She had the cutest little smile and she would sit there and "talk" to you, even though she can't talk. I loved it! It was so interesting to me how different it is taking care of little kids than adults. It was so rewarding for me. Who knows, maybe that's where I'll end up. Hope everyone is doing well! WE LOVE YOU GUYS!

Mike's Birthday! : )

So Mike's birthday was on Tuesday the 18th. He got spoiled! It started with a lovely dinner on Sunday with Mikes family at Cindy's house. We had a good time just hanging out with everybody. Mike got some cute clothes from his mom and grandparents. I unfortunately didn't know that we would be celebrating his birthday with them that day, so I didn't bring my camera. Dangit! The next day we went to El Toro Viejo in Brigham City with Al, Jake, and Mckade and Stacie. The waiters at the restaurant made Mike wear a sombrero while they sang Happy Birthday to him is Spanish, then in English. :) We went to go see "The Travelers Wife" after that. (Yes we went to a chick flick on Mikes birthday. Unfortunately we had seen everything else, and no I don't recommend seeing The Travelers Wife! It was horrible!) Then on Tuesday we went to Quizno's for a quick birthday lunch with Kate, Cindy, Nate, Tyler and Kristen. After lunch, Mike and I, Mckade and Stacie, and Danny went for a little 4 wheeler ride up to Mt. Logan. Fun as usual. : )That night we went to my mom and dads for dinner. We had some delicious navajo tacos (Mikes request). Mike and dad had fun E maxxing as usual. I made some birthday brownies. My stupid camera pooped out on me after only a few pictures. I think the best part about Mikes birthday was mom's birthday present to him. She made some "balls" for his E maxx remote control truck out of scone dough and nylons! You know those balls that you see on the back of trucks, she made some just like those for his E maxx! He loved it.
: ) Mike had a wonderful birthday. Thanks Everyone!
Here's Jake and Al at El Toro Viejo
Kade, Stacie and Mike. Cute! : )
That's a sweet sombrero!
I got Mike one of those rolly things to go underneath cars with. Yeah I don't know what they're called!
And I got him some new shoes. He needed them!
Quizno's. Mmm, mmm, mmm, mmm, Toasty! : )
A cute Trio!
A goofy and cute trio! : )

Ahh the pretty mountains.
Just chillin at 9500 feet
Whoa Nick's looking really scary! I think that was his intent! ; )
There's Aarons funny smile. My stupid camera busted so I didn't get any pictures of Mike or my dad. Oops!

The Dunes!

The Dunes! Oh my gosh it was such a blast! Mike and I went to the St. Anthony Dunes in Idaho. This was my first time going and I absolutely loved it! I'm actually going to start calling them the Sand Roller Coasters because that is exactly how it felt. It's amazing to me that there is that much sand just randomly in the middle of Idaho. The dunes are huge! My favorite thing to do was go into one of the bowls and just go in a huge circle. So much fun!! : ) I did drive the wheeler a couple of times. In two tiny little circles then I was done! I'm still not used to driving it yet but I'm practicing. : ) And one of the very best parts about 4 wheeling is being able to where my awesome pink helmet! Any way, St. Anthony Dunes were a blast!!

Ok so this is a video of Mike going up Choke Cherry, one of the nastiest, steepest, longest hills at the dunes. The video is deceiving because it looks like Mike is going really slow but he was flying up that hill! I was way to chicken to try it with him. Plus it probably wouldn't have even made it half way with my butt on there!

A little story

Hello,

So sorry that my blog is so boring!! Unfortunately lately we haven't had much time to go play. That or I just haven't taken pictures of anything. We're still just kinda the same old same old. I've dove right into school and things are going well, and really fast!! I'll be graduated before I know it!! (Thank goodness) Mike is still trying to look for a job. : ( He gets really frustrated sometimes about not being able to find anything. At least not around here. But he's doing well. He's been a little stressed though. : ( We're doing a lot better than some of our extended family has lately! We've had extreme endometriosis, colon polyps and dead intestines!! It started out with Erin (Jake's (Mike's brother) girlfriend). She was over at Cindy's house and just doubled over in extreme pain. We were thinking maybe it was just a kidney stone or something like that, but they preformed surgery and found that things were kind of a mess in there. They ended up wrapping all of her organs in some sort of saran wrap material and putting it all back in! She's doing great now. My sister in-law who has been having some problems of her own had to go have 50 polyps removed the next day after Erins little episode!! 50 is a lot! But she's doing fine now too. And last but definitely not least there is Kevin. He is Mike's uncle who has been having quite the ordeal. He suffers from Chrones disease, and as a result has had to have part of his intestine removed. Well so that means that he only had about 10 feet of intestine to work with. That sounds like a lot but it's not really. Anyway he went to the hospital where they found he had a perferated bowel which had caused a huge infection to the rest of his insides. Because of the infection they had to remove 6 more feet of intestine leaving him with 2 feet altogether! That 2 feet then became infected as well. They tried to repair it, but it died off anyway. So he had to be life flighted to Pittsburg where he had some kind of advance surgery which I had never heard of before. He is still in Pittsburg now. The surgery went how it was supposed to and now Kevin just has to live at that hospital until they can find donor intestine for him. Talk about nuts!! Just makes me grateful that Mike and I are healthy! Hope everything is well with everybody! : )

School, blah!

So my summer is almost officially over. : ( I start school tomorrow and have some mixed feelings about it. I'm kinda excited to get back into the groove of things. I get to learn about some pretty cool things this semester, like maternity and pediatrics, and I get to get into the nitty gritty of all of the different diseases and conditions that are out there. So I was looking at one of my books and Mike happened to glance at the wrong time. I was looking at actual pictures of the process of giving birth. Well let's just say that scared the crap out of Mike!! Heck I'll be lucky if he'll be able to hold my hand the whole time without passing out!! What a wimp! : ) Anyway, I thought it was pretty funny! Hope everyone is doing well for everybody! Ta Ta!

Happy Pioneer Day!!

So Pioneer day was really fun. Mike and I went up to Inspiration Point up Willard Canyon. (At least I think that's what canyon it was. : )) on the four wheeler. I lied when I said the views from the top of Mt. Logan were the best! It was absolutely amazing how much we could see. We could see Brigham City, Logan, Willard, Ogden, and Mantua all at the same time! It was so green still, even had a few places with snow run off. There were millions of wild flowers (and flies unfortunately) Plus the ride itself was a lot of fun with lots of twists and turns. Kinda felt like a roller coaster in some spots. We also went over to my mom and dads for some food, fireworks, and fun! Hope everybody had a wonderful, safe Pioneer Day!
