8 Months of pure, active BOY!
Exploring the pantry - another of his favorites!
He's pulling up on everything and stands like a champ. He even let go of me and stood on his own the other day for about 5 seconds!
He absolutely loves this piano that his cousin Grayson let him borrow! He has learned how to hold on and walk around it in order to play with each button
I've learned my lesson - only give him a couple of tupperware dishes at a time. They were soon scattered over the entire kitchen floor!
Teething, teething, and more teething - Caleb has 4 top teeth coming in!
Something about this mischevious grin tells me I'm in big trouble. Sure enough we didn't think he could get his leg up high enough in order to climb the step. A couple of days later he easily climbed that step and was standing on the second step! No worries, Marc and I were right there and we're working on finding a gate that fits!Saturday, November 8, 2008
7 Months!
For some reason he really likes the laundry baskets...this is the first time he pulled up.
Who needs "toys" when you can play with a laundry basket?!
If you look carefully, you can see the 2 bottom teeth...sorry ignore the tears. My poor child...he's crying and here I am trying to snap photos of his teeth! But it was the only time I could get a picture of his teeth...somehow I don't think he cares too much. Mommy turning his melt down into a photo op only made him madder!Emily's Visit

Oh, I'm in trouble!
This is from a couple of days ago. He's been trying to crawl for a couple of weeks, and all of a sudden he did it for the first time on Tuesday! 2 days later he's getting even better at crawling and is into everything! I'll post more footage soon.

Fun Weekend
We also went to the fair - Caleb's first state fair experience, and he definitely enjoyed it. So many new things to look at, hear, smell etc - he was entertained for hours.
Caleb was so tuckered out, but wouldn't go to sleep. A great friend told me that she had to hold her little one in a bear hug and just let him cry until he fell asleep. So Marc decided to try it, and voila! He only cried for about 5-10 minutes and then they were both conked out for over an hour. And I got some much needed "me" time.
We also got to have lunch today with Gramps, Grammy, and Aunt Nancy. Sorry no pics, but it was so good to see them. We're so thankful to have family nearby. So Impressive!
I can't believe he can already get into a sitting position on his own! Last night he woke up about 1am. I heard him making noise, but not crying, so I waiting a while until he started crying before I went to get him. When I walked in, I was in for a surprise. He was sitting up in his crib staring at me! That was a first, and prompted us to lower his mattress to the lowest setting today. He's also pulling up on things and the other day pulled himself up to standing. And he is SO CLOSE to crawling. More videos to come soon, I'm sure!

Yea for Grandparents!
6 Months
We started solids a few weeks ago. Caleb took to it like a fish to water...yumm...peas...
He has this goal he loves to play with (thanks Missy and Kevin) - unfortunately it usually ends up on top of him.
A rare, rare moment of weakness...never let them know you're tired! Our pediatrician called Caleb a "party baby". Some of you know my struggles with this sweet, spirited boy who doesn't like to go to sleep for fear he'll miss something.

So far Caleb LOVES sports. He likes the Roughriders, and he especially loves going to football games! Seriously, you can hardly get him to pay attention to anything but what's going on on the field.

We also celebrated his great-grandma's birthday!

This is a first - Caleb was so tired he literally fell asleep sitting up!
It was too funny!
