Week in review

Fall break was SUPER! I am realizing this especially today due to an increase in the decrease of my free time. :/ I have no idea what I did on Monday. If anybody does, please let me know because I am having trouble remembering. I have been thinking about it all day and I can't locate it in my brain. Then Tuesday I did something equally baffling until mutual! Basically Ash and I were the "judges" at the "spooktacular" then we sat and chatted with our super awesome leaders. So that was fun! Then we visited poor Brooke who got surgery and was feeling lonely. Then we went to 711!!!! Yes, slurpies are the perfect thing to get when it's snowing. Kailey enjoyed hers too! Then on wednesday was our "highly anticipated CB date night." Sounds just grand doesn't it? (OH! Hold up! I just remembered what I did on Monday and Tuesday. Stressed about this dang date night! There were a lot of different complications to getting this to work smoothly. But hey, how many people can say that they called a guy that they don't know out of the blue and asked him on a date for their sweet, pretty friend and had them say, "Sure!" and actually show up and have a fun time?? Not anyone that I have heard of! Plus, it was totally worth it. :)) <--- That's not supposed to be a double chinned smiley face by the way.
Where was I? Oh yes. The date night. So we, as a laurel class, decided that we wanted to be nice to our priests and show them that it's ok to ask girls on dates as friends and just have a fun time with no awkwardness and that we don't bite (most of the time). So we did. We went to Park Meadows Mall and ran around and took pictures with our picture captions and may have been asked to leave by the mall security guard.... maybe he didn't see that we were being totally respectful and wearing our CTR rings or maybe his ranger hat was just on a little too tight. We won't blame him for that. Then we had a "picnic" AKA eating on a blanket in Ashlyn's basement because it was snowing. Then I went home and had a phone date. :)
Thursday I went to Mel's because her Swine Flu died so she could breathe and talk at the same time and everything. We're so proud of this new development. :) We uhh.... made pizza and cleaned her room (That's a much bigger deal than you'd think. Since the massacre of her beloved tadpoles (RIP) she has not been able to clean her room. She did not have a floor at all and sometimes her bed was not visible.) At work the children were being hilarious! The boys were sticking snow in their shirts to make them look sweaty. Olivia told us what we should be for Halloween... bahaha. And much more! Then after work we finished cleaning and ate and watched Jericho!! Then slept. Malena has weird dreams and she is a total blanket hog, but I'll keep her. ;)
Friday..... I don't remember what I did before work (I did work everyday, I know that!) I actually don't remember what I did after work either..... I'm sure you're missing out on some really exciting stuff....
Saturday was FRIGHT FEST at Elitches. Me and Mel had such a good time! It's kinda nice when you don't have a whole group to decide who rides with who and what ride to go on next. We had a really great time and didn't lose our phones on the rides! And on the light rail back, we even got creeped out by these Wangsters and had to talk in German for a while so they wouldn't know what we were saying. Oh and we ate this huge funnel cake that astounded many onlookers. (Think about it. If you saw a little girl carrying a huge funnel cake with all of this stuff on it, what would your face look like?) Then I babysat these angel children.
Church was great! Although there were many death stories. And I guess the secret's out now, thanks to Sister Knudsen, I didn't want a doughnut on Sunday because I am watching my weight. So much for telling people things in confidence... :P I booked flight to Washington :)
Did you know that the Beatles made the U.S. crime rates drop during their first American show!?!? I think I should be able to write my research paper for U.S. history on them! Mr. Olsen would rather I choose Elvis because he is actually American. Who cares if the Beatles are from the UK?? They were more popular here anyways...
Good luck at state today Hannah Jo! (Bon Jovi) You'll do fantastic I know it!!
Speaking of Bon Jovi, He's coming to Denver in March!! Woo!
Mom, you're awesome and you make movies that keep me laughing. :) We need to figure out costumes for tomorrow!
Much Love!!

Homecoming

To all of the people of the male gender. You are sooo lucky that you do not have to wear heels. Just saying. I'm pretty sure that my shoes broke a couple of toes. Haha But at least I broke them dancing! Last night was good old Homecoming. I went over to Hannah's to get all dolled up. Then we went to August Moon for dinner. This poor lady was running the restaurant by herself! We offered to help but she wouldn't let us because we were all dressed up. Malena and I decided we wanted to try duck. The verdict? It tastes exactly like chicken. We also ate a few "tape worms." Baha. We had a really good time at dinner and were so relieved to be done smiling for a million pictures. We each had 3 dates. Hannah, Melissa, Malena, and I had the best time! We had a sweet playlist to jam out to in the Murano! When we got there, we were practically the only senior girls there. So what do we do? Go to the front and dance like crazy!! There was a HUGE difference between the seniors and everyone else. The lower classmen glared a lot and started a lot of drama and made us crack up, and the seniors just didn't even care and danced like idiots and had fun! Many girls, we noticed, decided to wear the exact same dress as their friends... fun. The majority of our class was very drunk, but at least they were entertaining to watch. Oh, and if one person there had the Swine flu....... I'm pretty sure we all have it now.
So it was fun for the most part even if my feet strongly disagree.
Much Love!!
