Happy 6 months Garrett!

Garrett is now 6 months old as of last week. He went for his well baby check-up and rocked the scales at 28 inches tall and 22 lbs. 4 oz. He is roughly the size of an 11 month old and is still growing strong. At this rate, I will need back surgery by the time he is a year old. He is still such a sweet natured baby. It seems like 6 months has just flown by but it also feels like he has been with us forever. We all love him so much!

Happy #8!

Today is Trey and my anniversary! It has been 8 crazy and wonderful years of marriage. We've lived in 3 (soon 4) different houses, 2 different cities, had 2 sweet baby boys, finished 3 degrees (my M.Ed., his B.S. and Ph.D.) and ridden the roller coaster of life through jobs, school, church changes, sickness, and lots more. I couldn't imagine having it any other way without him.

Cousin Pictures

Drew, Garrett, and Cousin Shelby had their first portraits made together. Though they were all tired, they did pretty good. Nana, Gran-Gran, Aunt Kim & I all had fun too.

Swim Lessons & First Bites

Drew finished up his swim lessons this week. He enjoyed a small class of 3 kids with 2 instructors. This is the first time he has taken them without me. He had a blast going down the slide, kicking and going under the water.

Garrett also hit another milestone. He has begun eating solid foods. So far he has had rice cereal, bananas, peaches, avocados, and sweet potatoes. He isn't always too crazy about it all, but we are making some progress. These pics are from his first bites.
