Joy in the Journey

Once again, God has decided to take me out of my comfort zone and send us on another journey. We are moving to Beaumont; away from a home that I love, family that I depend on and friends that make our life so much fun. In short, Marcus has been given a business opportunity that is a tremendous blessing. In a very short time, God has confirmed this move over and over again. The biggest coming from Gift. After talking with her about how Daddy was going to start working in Beaumont and we would stay here for this next school year, she says "I don't want to move, but I'd rather be with Daddy!" She's so wise.
We will move over the next 2 weeks and begin new jobs. To say I'm a little nervous is an understatement. But we are also excited knowing we are following God's direction. He has already placed so many wonderful people in our lives and I'm reminded again that His plan is always best!

Just adding some pictures from the last few months. Life is crazy busy, but we are certainly having a great time! Gift amazes us constantly. She is so smart, witty and beautiful inside and out! Ivy is at that really fun stage where she never stops talking and everything belongs to her. We are forever hearing "It's MINE!". She loves going to school with me 3 days a week and Gift is thriving in 3rd grade. She recently won 1st place at UIL Spelling. She competed against numerous other school districts and had to learn 600 words...they were not easy! We are so proud of both of our angels!

Gift turned 8 on August 12. She had a great time swimming with all her friends!



Ivy turned 2 on June 16. All she wanted was a Tinkerbell Party...that's what she got!

Obviously, I've been a little busy...It's been about 9 months since I blogged last. Having a two year old in the house has certainly changed the schedule around here. Everyday is an adventure and we love it! These are recent pictures of the girls.Ivy is saying her prayer before eating.This child never stops talking and can make us all laugh! Gift is growing up so fast. She is simply beautiful inside and out. Ivy adores her big sister and Gift loves Ivy...most of the time. Marcus and I know that we are blessed beyond measure!

Here are a few recent pictures of the girls! Gift is the BEST big sister. As you can see, she helps Ivy brush her teeth and has taught her to swing in the "big girl" swing.

Gift is almost finshed with soccer season. We are all excited to get our Saturday mornings back.

I finally took the girls to have some pictures made. They turned out great! Ivy and Gift had lots of fun posing for the camera!

Ivy is moving really fast. She's been crawling and pulling up on everything for a while now. She just discovered two weeks ago that she can actually walk around the house holding on to her walking toy. She gets really excited!
