Birds Eye View

Hi everyone.  I am sitting here thinking about tomorrows weather which is supposed to bring snow.  I just knew it was to good to be true.  I'm just hoping it diverts to another location.  You can tell I'm not a winter person, ha, ha.  Now on to the card.  I used Straight From The Nest and Create A Critter carts.  I added a googly eye to the owl, along with a Peachy Keen stamp(PK-573).  I embossed the purple layer with Cuttlebug Birds & Swirls folder.  Enjoy the rest of the week.

3D Calender

Hi my bloggie friends.  I hope you are enjoying the weekend.  I decided to get bold and do something I've never done.  I took a piece of saved cardboard and created my own measurements to make this fold which stands at 41/4 inches high.  I used the Indie Art and Create a Critter carts.  I used the shadow to avoid the face on the sun and cut out a circle, from the same cart,  for the center. I used the PK-493 for the face.  I added some punched out flowers from a set of old McGill punches and MS flower punch.  From my stash I added some Recollection brads, a very old bee brad from Oriental Trading Co., ribbon from special value, gems from Recollections and glossy Accents for the Peachy Keen eyes.  The paper was single sheets from Michael's I bought last year. I am sorry I am unable to remember right now fro what blogger friend I downloaded this calender from.  I wanted to use all 12 months out of paper to rip out but I ran out of ink on my printer.  I could still change it later.  I just placed a warm month to livin the spirits of everyone, for now.

I love all the wonderful new projects and tricks I am learning from all of you. Thanks!

Spring Fashion

I am sure that everyone will enjoy getting the feel of Spring Fashion.  I used my fairly new cart. Forever Young.  From my stash I added glitter brads, flower gems(K & Co.), glitter zig zag ribbon, and a chain I found at Michaels in all colors.  I left the purse open in the center to place the tag inside.  I used vellum paper on the nail polish and glasses. The rest of the paper is from Recollections.  Thanks for coming by and have a blessed day.

Lil Sprout

Hi my bloggie friends .  Hope you've been enjoying your hump day.  I finally did a cut I have been wanting to do with Straight From The Nest cart.  I think it is such a super cute cut.  I used two different doily punches from MS.  I had some mini stickers in my stash and decided to decorate the little tees with them.  Two other carts. I used were Doodle Charm and MS Seasonal.  The ribbon is also from my stash.  I embossed the pink layer with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots.  I finished it with some new mini button brads I bought on sale at Michaels, specifically with this project in mind. That's going to be it for now.  Have a blessed day.

Dr. Seuss Tag

Hi everyone.  Hope you are all having a great weekend.  This is the 2nd part to my Dr. Seuss projects. I used MS Seasonal cart. to make the tag.  Just as the previous project I went on line and copied the same sketch on the cover of the book and cut out the water, white fish and red fish.  I decided to use some brads which I specifically purchased for this project.  I added the quote to the back of the tag. I also used a starfish gem, ribbon(Oriental trading Co.) and blue glitter gel pen from my stash. I placed googly eyes on the cut out fish.  Finally the letters are from Lyrical Letters cart.  Now I'm in the mood to keep making whimsical cards. Be back soon.

Green Eggs & Ham

I had so much fun doing this and another Dr. Seuss project.  The truth is I thought it was going to be extremely difficult because I don't own  anything Dr. Seuss. I went to Bing and searched for pics and quotes.  I was surprised to find so much stuff I didn't know what to choose.  I was very interested in Green Eggs and Ham. I thought it would look great on a card.  I printed a picture and drew it on to the appropriate stock paper.  It took me several mistakes and some time but it finally shaped out.  I embellished it with green glitter & Glaze Accents(eggs & fork), gems and black gel pen from my stash.  I had a small piece of twine that came with a prize and decided to recycle it.  I also embossed the layer inside the card.  I was so fortunate to find the quote already designed.  I just had to print it out.  I think it turned out great.  Enjoy!

Sent W/Love

Happy TGIF everyone.  I love making shaped cards. I still don't know how to use the CCR, so I am unable to weld and get very excited when I find a shaped card I could do without it.  I hand cut the envelope and even made an inner layer. The heart was from Doodle Charm cart. I added some ribbon, brown Studio G ink and rub-on, all quite old,  from my stash.  The heart gem is attached to a gold paper clip which I found on sale @ Michaels.  Enjoy the weekend.
