snow day

Once we got Brooke down for her morning nap Paige and I bundled up in our snow clothes. We went outside and I shoveled again while Paige played around in the snow.

Lunch was pretty routine. Paige and I ate quesadillas while Brooke enjoyed baby food and bread. Shawn came home for lunch as well. We watched Monsters Inc. for an hour before heading to naps. Paige went potty again and did another BM! Yeah! Two days in a row. But nap time didn’t work for Paige. She can now climb out of her crib with no problem.

I made chicken stir-fry for dinner then headed out to do last minute visiting teaching runs. We went to a bookstore as a family so I could look for file folder games. Paige was exhausted by 7:30 and had a hard time getting through bath and bedtime routine without crying.

trying this out

I'm slowly figuring out new things with the computer every day it seems like. I need to work on being more diligent with journal writing and thought I'd give this a try. My life is pretty routine as many people's is but I'll let you know what my fun activities are for each day.

Yesterday (Monday) I made hamburger stroganoff for dinner. I need to remember to make a full recipe next time and not half it because we barely have enough for the 2 1/2 of us that eat it. I did my Monday laundry routine of only 3 loads this time. I got it all folded and put away except for the girls' clothes as usual. Theirs sits on their dresser until I get an extra minute to hang it all up. Paige worked on her new puzzles which she is a wiz at. I need to find more toys for her to play with, she's getting too smart for most of hers. Other then that I think it was pretty routine, dishes, baths for girls, changing diapers. Oh, Paige did sit on the potty around noon and did a BM. She hasn't done that in a few months so I was pleased with that. She's 2 1/2 so we are slowly working on the whole potty training thing. We read scriptures as a family at night and have been doing well with that New Years Resolution. Paige reminds us now if we forget. That was the essence of Monday!

This morning we woke up to at least 4 inches of snow so I tried to be a good wife and went out and shoveled it all for Shawn while he was getting ready for work. It was heavy snow so maybe we'll go out and make a snowman out of it later.
