Goodbye Winter?

They say that.....
"In Rexburg, April Showers Bring May Plowers!"
So True!
I am hoping that we are past all of that, but I am not holding my breath!! :)

"Oh What We Did In The Winter Time...When All The World Was White"

Here is a glimpse of what we did to stay busy this winter...
Gotta love the play dough!
Jensen made fishies and tadpoles...surprise, surprise!!
Brigham stuck faces on all his creations and then we hung them on the wall. :)
Kason just enjoys being close to the action...he is not allowed to have play dough for awhile now because he thinks you eat it.
(I think he has had his salt intake for 6 mo. so far!)

I never knew that stacking wood was so technical!!
This is my pile...
...and this is Mark's!
It is amazing how fast you can burn through all of this. I told Mark that I have started more fires in the first month that we lived here than I have my entire life!!!
Brigham instigated this activity.
They thought it was a blast!

Who needs sled dogs when you have a mut?!
(a border collie/labrador owned by the Pike family by default!)
Just hook our dog "Trout" to the sled rope.....
.....and AWAY you Go!!

And who says you have to have snow to go sledding... It's much warmer to do it indoors!

And there you have it...Our Winter in a nutshell! :)

Having Fun With Letters

This is a letter that Brigham wanted to write to his Uncle Jonathan. He did it all by himself with a little help with spelling. :) He gets bored with writing ABC's so I have found a new technique! He loves it.
(And he doesn't even know that his Mom is tricking him into learning his alphabet!)

Kason Turns One!!

I can't believe it, but our sweet little Kason turned one on Febuary 25th!! It seems the more children you have the quicker the years fly by!

Since Kason absolutely loves ballons, we threw him a "balloon" party! When I gave him his big balloon, his face just lit up and he was the happiest child I have ever seen!! (Such simple things make them so very happy!)

Balloon + cup = fun for hours!!

Kason figuring out the bubble blowing gadgets with his brothers!

Decorating Kason's "cake."
We were lucky that Grandma got to come and celebrate with us!
Kason's cupcake Ballons!!...Simple yet satisfying!
Blowing out the candle...with a lot of help from his brothers!
Preparing for disaster!
Before....

...After!!
Kason got little books from Grandma and a cell phone
with car keys from Mommy, Daddy, Brig, and Jence.
(Mommy and Daddy need theirs back!!)
To my sweet little Kason,
Happy Birthday!!! You have now been on this Earth for one whole year! :) How VERY lucky we are to have you come to our family!! Before you were born I was certain that you were going to be a girl because of all the “drama” you put me through during my pregnancy! We were absolutely shocked, but way excited to think that we were getting another boy. :)
Kason I love you because even from the very beginning of your life, you have been the sweetest, most patient baby ever!!
I love you because you have brought nothing but complete JOY into our family!
I love you because even though you cannot speak but a few words (“Da, Momma, Daw-for dog, and Hot”), you have always been able to clearly communicate with us.
I love you because you speak with your eyes!
Those big, beautiful blue eyes just MELT me!!!
I love you because you absolutely adore your two big brothers. And they adore you. You think they are so funny and they in turn think you are quite the comedian. :)
I love you because even though you might be little, you get right in there when it comes to wrestling matches!
I love you because you get so excited when you hear the dogs (or any animal for that manner) and it just makes your day if you get to go out to see them
I love you because you keep your Momma hopping!
You have set for yourself quite the busy schedule.
I love you because from the get go you have been our very best eater.
Daddy is so thrilled that he finally has a baby that will eat whatever he feeds him!
I love you because you LOVE your Daddy! You are definitely a Daddy’s boy. The minute you hear Daddy’s truck pull into the driveway you run to the window to say hello to him. And the instant he walks through the door you reach out your arms
for him to pick you up and hold you. :)
I love you because you are Ours and it makes me smile just thinking about what a fun baby you are! I am so glad that Heavenly Father has sent you to Us!!!!
I LOVE you ”to the Heaven’s Back Down!”
Love, Momma :)

Boys, Boys, and More Boys!!

We were so lucky to have been able to be in Utah the end of Febuary when Scott and Natalie had their baby. They had a handsome baby boy on Febuary 21st! His name is Stockton Craig Redd and he fits right in to the family. We LOVE little boys!! There are now 13 grandsons and 3 granddaughters in the Redd family!

Missionary Work...Here We Come!!!

We had to hurry and take this picture before Kason loved the baby too much!!

Scott and Natalie with baby Stockton. What a cute little family!

Proud Grandma!
Jensen was so excited to get to hold the baby!
Brigham was a little bit like his Dad and thought he might brake. :)

Proud Daddy!!
Throwing pennies in the fountain with Grandma at the hospital.
We are so happy to have you in our family!
We love you Stockton!!
