Surprise!

This year Brigham, Jensen, Sierra, Logan, Shar, and I surprised Grandma "Ellie" with a real decorated Christmas tree!
(The Charlie Brown Tree just wasn't bringing in the Spirit!)
After searching many frantic moments for the tree stand and not finding it, I do have to say that it paid off being married to a Builder...the skills came in handy and I rigged together a temporary one!
It was so much fun to do it with the kids and Grandma was surprised. :)
Merry Christmas Grandma!! We Love You!

Festival of Trees

Oh, how I love the Festival of Trees! It brings such a perfect Christmas Spirit of Giving and Love. Most of all it brings back such cherrished moments of our Sweet baby "Cade". (My sister's oldest who was born with Trisomy 18 who defied all odds and lived 3 months!) When I was still in High School, I was able to go with my sister and help with the Trisomy tree and I will never forget that experience. One of the years, My mom, sister and I donated a wreathe as tribute to "Cade" and my Dad. I have loved being able to volunteer in the past and we try to go as often as possible.
And not to mention, it is so much fun!

I absolutely LOVE this picture! :)

All of the kids by the Trisomy Tree that my sister, Sharlynn, was able to help with. (It is the one with the pink and gold.) It turned out beautiful! I do wish I would have gotten a picture of the Trisomy babies with "Cade's" picture in it though, darn it.

Winter Fun!

Thanksgiving 2009

This year for Thanksgiving, our family came to us!!
It was so much fun!
We had Grandma "Ellie", Becca, Jonathan, and Ben as our guests. :)
It was a little nerve racking to think that I was cooking the Turkey, but it was nice to have Grandma there just in case. :)
We kept to tradition and made apple turkeys, but also pilgrim hats and a lot of other yummy food. None of us got sick (well not from bad food but from overeating maybe!) so I considered it a success!! And one of the best parts, is that we had leftovers at our house....my favorite!

When it comes to creating, Jensen does not take things lightly!

Uncle Jonathan and Aunt Becca teaching the art of Monopoly. :)
Mark actually made benches just for our feast!
One of the most intense Monopoly games I have ever witnessed...hillarious!!!
(Someone has got to beat Mark!)

Jensen's 4!

Happy Birthday Jensen!!
You are finally 4...you just couldn't wait to turn
such a magical age! :)
We were actually shocked this year that you wanted
something different than a "fishy" cake.
We had a TON of fun putting together this surprise cake for Jensen.
(He knew what it was going to be, just not what it was going to look like.)
...I think he likes it! :)

Jensen was making sure there were exactly 4 candles! :)
...we still got a little "fishy" about some things :)
Jensen was way excited about his real Transformer...or was it Daddy?
He figured out his Transformer before I even could...He is a little Smarty!
My buff little men!

We Love you Jensen! Just don't grow up so fast!!!!!!!

Mark's 29th Birthday!

It's Fishin' time!!...for presents that is. :)
(The Little boys thought of this idea, and now it is a fun tradition we do every birthday!)

Mark loved his new Camp Chef, but we loved his cooking on it even more!!
Yummy!

I love the candle arrangement!
They are more concentrated on getting the right number of candles! :)
Happy Birthday Daddy!
We LOVE You!!!!!!!!!
