M.I.A.
If it seems like we have been Missing In Action, its because we have!! We've been locked up inside because Dallen has a sinus infection that refuses to quit. It's been more than 2 weeks and it will NOT go away. Its a nasty one!! Earlier in the week it didn't really phase him. It was just a lot of boogers, but not enough to stop him from getting into trouble. Including some of his latest tricks (that I don't so much love): emptying the garbage cans, surfing on rocking chairs, and climbing in the cupboards, dishwasher and dryer. However, today was the worst of it so far. He woke up with a fever of 100 and was miserable all day. I literally had to hold him every minute of the day, even while he was sleeping. He was crying and boogery and cranky. And the kid wanted nothing to do with food, unless it was a popsicle. The poor kid.
Plus, it doesn't help that I am still recovering from my super fun, super late, ladies night out!! I went with all the cousins and Aunts and friends and even Grandma to the 12:30 showing New Moon. I swear I am still paying for staying out past 3 am, but it was TOTALLY worth it. I had a blast!!

An Update
I'm sorry it's been forever since I have blogged. Sometimes I have so many pictures I can't keep up and other times I struggle to find things to post. This kid is growing so fast, sometimes I feel like I don't even recognize my own little boy. Just to document and share some funny things he has been doing lately: he has a "courtesy laugh". It is so cute. When Mark and I laugh in a social situation he totally pretends to laugh. It kinda sounds like my courtesy laugh, just a single "ha." He copies a lot of things he sees us doing. He is starting to push buttons and the right ones. He knows how to turn the TV on and how to open the DVD player. He knows to clap his hands when we sing "If you're happy and you know it." And he is climbing on everything. Here are a couple pictures I got of what Dallen has been up to lately. Finally got the kid to stop watching football for one picture!!
Climbing in his new toy basket...he did this all by himself!!
Also, on a side note: I think its finally gonna start cooling down enough to wear these...
my birthday boots!!

These shoes were made for walking...
Dallen is walking so good now. He gets up and walks wherever he wants, whenever he wants, for as long as he wants. I am so proud of how far he has come in such a short time. He is 13 months old now and weighs a whopping 25 pounds!! He is such a boy. He just wants to go outside and run around all day long. He wants to play in the dirt and throw rocks!! Poor Dallen trying to escape, all day wants outside...Dallen is so smart. Whenever he wants to go outside, he brings me my shoes!! So cute :) And, notice D's cute new shoes, I thought his skating Uncles would appreciate them.
Someday we'll have a nice yard for you to play in D. Someday.

B is for Bubble
For Family Home Evening on Monday night we introduced Dallen to BUBBLES!! He LOVED it. He was having so much fun trying to catch them. His favorite part was when we would catch a bubble on the stick and he could poke it to POP it :) My favorite part was that Dallen can say "bubble". He can pretty much say anything that starts with B but he loves to say bubble. I love this kid!!

A night in the park
The other night when cousins were in town we went to the park for a little picnic dinner. For the first time in a long time we had to bundle up in sweatshirts and jackets because it was a whole 55 degrees outside. But the pink noses didn't stop us from having a whole bunch of fun. Plus I got some adorbale shots of my little man in action. Just look at how big he is getting...Dallen learning to kick a soccer ball.
I love this picture cause it totally looks like he's peeing on the tree. Why do I love it? Because someday, I am sure that will happen and I kind of love little glimpses into the future :)
Daddy taking little D to go see the duckies.
Being restrained from jumping in the water.
Keeping Mommy warm.
Flying so high.Learning to climb up and down a hill.
Just some adorable faces.

Mr. Social
One thing we love about where we live is that there are so many fun kids that we go to church with. There are so many little ones that are just Dallen's size and he loves it. He is Mr. Social. He loves to make other kids laugh, watch bigger kids to see what they can do and he just loves to get out and play with other kids. The following pictures are a little old, and I am sorry I didn't get them out there sooner, but here are a few pictures of D playing with his buddies...At the park with Drew
Our friends Kim, Noelle and Stanton invited us to the zoo last month. SOOO fun!!
Dallen and his buddy Parker. These 2 are just a few weeks apart and love to make each other laugh, but are not so fond of smiling for pictures :)
We love our friends!!
